In 2017, Swedish Match launched
the ONE line. Later on down the road, in 2020, the ONE line was relaunched, and in 2021, as part of that new line,
ONE Röd (Red) was added. It stayed around for a few years, however in late 2025, Swedish Match discontinued the entire ONE line. Don't fret! ONE Red was relaunched as the product we're talking about today, Göteborgs Rapé Vilda Bär (wild berry). The flavor description for this one says "Light and spicy tobacco character with clear hints of red berries, floral notes and grapefruit". Each can weighs 20 grams, and has 20 portions, weighing 1 gram each. The nicotine strength is 13mg/g, which is easily calculated to be 13mg per portion! Now, let's see how it tastes.
This product remains virtually unchanged (other than the name) since I had it last. In the aroma, I pick up tones of raspberry, cranberry, and perhaps a little spruce. There's also a light, dark tobacco base. The portions stay in the ONE format. If you are new to this brand, that's a type of thinner portion material that allows the flavor to get out a lot quicker than your regular white portion. I've often called it "spiderweb portions" because of what it looks like. The flavor is quite tasty. It has a nice red berry taste, some spruce notes, and a good, dark tobacco base. The red berry, again, makes me think of raspberry, but perhaps with some cranberry in the mix. In the strength, this one feels to be above the regular level. I'd place it just a hair shy of the "strong" mark. The flavor lasts about an hour, on average.
Rating and Final Thoughts
This rating remains unchanged from the last time I tried it. It sits at 3.5/5. It's still a great tasting snus, but with a new name. Honestly, I think the change is better. The old design was a bit basic, and cheap. This one looks much more classy, and more premium. So, if you like snus with fruity or berry flavors, I suggest you check this one out. It's tasty!
