This is a snus that has truly gone full circle. In 2013, Swedish Match launched Göteborgs Rapé Slim. In 2015, that product would be discontinued, and re-launched in the XR series as Göteborgs Rapé XRANGE. Then, in 2025, the XRANGE line was discontinued, and this product went back to it's original name, Göteborgs Rapé Slim. The flavor description for this one says "Light tobacco character with clear hints of lavender and juniper, as well as a hint of wood and citrus". The contents haven't changed. Each can weighs 16 grams and has 20 portions, weighing 0.8g each. Swedish Match doesn't list a strength for this one on their site. I've seen it listed between 8.5-9mg/g on various e-stores, which means it hovers between 6.8 and 7.2mg per portion. Let's open the can and see how it tastes!
This remains unchanged from the XR version, which pleases me because I use that one daily. In the aroma, I pick up a present tone of juniper. Behind it, some floral and herbal notes, and a faint touch of citrus. The portions are slim, and soft, with a nice feel under the lip. They are slightly dry, and yield a gradual release of flavor. In the taste, the juniper flavor is up front. Behind it, some subtle floral notes, and a light herbal tone. There is a faint citrus character, along with a mild tobacco base. In the strength, I find this one feels to deliver at about the regular strength mark. The flavor seems to last up to about an hour on average, though sometimes I've left these portions in for longer.

Rating and Final Thoughts
As a big fan of the XR version of GR, I was pleased to find that nothing has changed with that one. So, my rating remains unchanged, at 3.67/5. It has the same great taste, but with a slightly better looking can. So, if you like GR, but want to enjoy it in a slim portion, this is one you should check out!
