I feel like I've reviewed this one a bunch, because Swedish Match keeps re-launching it. This one originally launched with
the first ONE line in 2017, as Göteborgs Rapé ONE. It relaunched in 2020 as
One Blå. In 2025, Swedish Match discontinued the ONE line, and it relaunched again, as Göteborgs Rapé ONE, going back to it's original name from 2017. The flavor description for this one says "Light and spicy tobacco character with clear hints of lavender and juniper, as well as a hint of citrus". The contents are unchanged. Each can weighs 20 grams and has 20 portions, at 1 gram each. The nicotine content is 13mg/g, which sits right at 13mg/portion, due to that 1g portion weight. Now, let's check out the taste!
As a big fan of this snus, I was glad to see the flavor hasn't changed. When you open the can, you pick up the classic GR aroma. Juniper comes through clearly, along with some floral tones, and a light touch of citrus. The portions retain the ONE format from the previous version. It's a thinner portion; I often refer to it as "spider-web" portions. The flavor gets out a lot quicker with these than your traditional white portion. In the flavor profile, the juniper flavor is front and center. Behind it, a mix of herbal and floral tones. There is a faint touch of citrus in the background, sitting on top of an earthy tobacco base. In the strength, it feels about the strong level, and has a decent release of nicotine. The flavor lasts about an hour!
Rating and Final Thoughts
This one remains unchanged from last time, so the rating remains the same - 3.67/5. It's a great product. Truly one of the best ways to enjoy the flavor of GR. The ONE portion format is great, and I've said for years I hope Swedish Match eventually adopts this in every snus product they make.
