Zyn Fizz (Nicotine Pouches) - Review. 7 August 2025.

Today, we have something interesting:  Zyn Fizz!  This is a new product from Swedish Match that is said to bring a unique type of sensation to their Zyn line.  It comes in two flavors:  Mint and Red Fruit.  The website says this one has "a bubbly fizz sensation".  That's going to be...different.  Content-wise, these are both the same. 14.3g with 21 pouches, for 0.68g.  The nicotine content is 13.2mg/g, or 8.97mg/pouch.  Now, what causes the fizzy sensation?  I don't know.  But, our friend MassSpecEverything on Instagram did a video with a reveal of what makes it "fizz", you can watch that video here!  It's a compound called "spilanthol", or "buzz buttons".  He explains it better, so watch his video to check out more on that.

Before the review, let's discuss what these have in common:
The Pouch - Like other Zyn products in Sweden, these are slim, soft, and moderately moist.
The Nicotine - I got thees in their "strong" level, but it's actually just 8.97mg/pouch, or regular strength.  To me, it feels to be right at that regular level.
The Flavor Longevity - The flavors all last between 30-40 minutes, on average.

We'll discuss the "fizz" at the end of this review.  Let's check out the tastes!

Zyn Red Fruit Fizz

Flavor Description:  "ZYN Red Fruit Fizz Slim Strong has a taste of red berries and lemon combined with a bubbly feeling of fizz."

My Thoughts:  This one is much like the regular Zyn Red Fruits I had back in February.  In the aroma, I pick up a fruity, tart, lightly sweet smell.  It translates pretty well to the taste, too.  This one is tart, but sweet.  It's an interesting balance.  What "red fruits" do I taste?  It's almost like a mix of rhubarb, strawberry, and raspberry.  It's pretty unique!

Zyn Mint Fizz

Flavor Description:  "ZYN Mint Fizz Slim Strong has a peppermint flavor combined with a bubbly fizz sensation".

My Thoughts:  This one reminds me a lot of the regular Zyn Cool Mint.  It's been a few years since I've had it, but re-reading my review, it seems like that is the flavor they used in this one.  In the aroma, I pick up a sweet, smooth smell of peppermint.  Under the lip, a gentle cooling sensation from the mint.  The flavor is pretty standard peppermint.  It's lightly sweet, gentle, and fresh in nature.

The Fizz

Going into this, I was expecting a super bubbly, champagne style feel.  It does have a slightly effervescent feel, but it's not mega bubbly or anything.  It's hard to describe.  You can feel something against the gum, and at times it's almost like a mild tingle.  It's really hard to describe, but I can say it does have a different feel than other pouches.  It isn't annoying or anything, it's just...different.  I think that's a good word for it.

Rating and Final Thoughts

In the end, I rated Red Fruits at 3.5/5, and Mint at 3.25/5.  Both were pretty good, flavor-wise.  And the nicotine release and flavor longevity for both was pleasing.  I would say if you want to try something different, give them a go.  I'm curious to hear what others think about these products.  They're certainly different, that's for sure!
