I'm not the biggest fan of the Pablo brand; a lot of their products are way, way too strong. I know the
Killa and
Pablo brands are super popular, especially in the UK. They're just not my thing. However, I saw these were much lower, so I figured I'd give them a review. Today we have Pablo Dark Cherry. I recently grabbed this in an order from
SnusMe.com. From what I've seen on there, the Pablo Gold series isn't as strong as the others, so it's more approachable, I think. This is one made by NGP, I believe they're based in Denmark. The flavor description says "A deep, sweet and aromatic flavor of ripe cherries". Each can weighs 14g and has 20 pouches, weighing just 0.7g each. The nicotine content is 24.3mg/g. That may sound like a lot, but with the 0.7g pouch weight it's actually just 17.01mg/pouch. I generally don't review anything over 26mg, and I don't use anything personally over 18-19mg. So, let's pop this can and check it out!
I like that this can looks more simple. The
old Pablo design was pretty wild. They seem to have simplified it. Opening the can, I pick up a present aroma of cherry, along with hints of menthol. I've noticed a lot of the EU products seem to have menthol added to them. In the lip, a cooling sensation from that menthol, and a slim, soft pouch. It's moderately moist, but not overly moist. Right in the middle. In the flavor profile, it's a nice black cherry taste. It's present, and comes with a slight minty/mentholated tone to it in the background. In the nicotine strength, it's still pretty strong. This one feels between the strong and extra strong level. The flavor lasts about 30-40 minutes. Now, let's see how it rates for me.
Rating and Final Thoughts
I rated this one at 3.17/5. Honestly, it's not bad. It's a little stronger than I prefer, but I don't mind the flavor. It has a pretty decent black cherry taste. If you took the menthol out of it, it would probably rate a little higher in flavor for me. If you like strong products, and you like the flavor of cherry, you may dig this one!
