Recently, you may have noticed all this
FDA nonsense going on that is keeping the US from getting a lot of products. One of my favorite flavors is
Loop Jalapeno Lime, which is now blocked from us. I like flavors like this when I pair them with non-alcoholic beers. My favorite lately is
Athletic Run Wild, and this one has paired pretty nicely with it. So, today we have Garant Mango Lime. This one is made by a company called Kordula, they're based in Lithuania. I couldn't find their website, however. I think they also made the
Grant pouches I tried a while back. I wonder if they changed their name because they sounded too much like
Granit. When it comes to this one, the
flavor description says "
a sweet burst of mango and a fresh taste of lime". Each can weighs 13.5g and has 27 pouches weighing 0.5g each. The nicotine content is 20mg/g, which breaks down to 10mg/pouch. Now, let's check it out and do a review!
I just popped up my can of Run Wild NA IPA, so we'll check out this pouch and see how it pairs. Opening up the can, I pick up mango first, followed by a little lime. It has good presence to it, and smells pretty natural. The pouches were all stuck together so I had to pull them apart when I got one out. They're lighter in weight, and semi-dry. They feel decent under the lip, however. The flavor is pretty mild, and light. But, not bad. I pick up a gentle taste of mango, followed up with a hint of lime. It's pretty tasty. In the nicotine strength, this one feels about regular. I find the flavor lasts about 30 minutes, on average. On the pairing notes, it does work well with my NA IPAs, so I'm pretty pleased there.
Rating and Final Thoughts
I gave this one a 3.08/5. It's actually pretty good. I rated the aroma higher than the flavor, because I noticed more presence in the aroma than I did in the taste. The taste was more mild than I expected. But, it was still pretty good! If you like citrus flavors, or tropical flavors like mango, I think you'll enjoy this one!
