Zyn Black Licorice (Mini Dry) Nicotine Pouches - Review. 25 February 2025.

I was recently browsing this new site, Snuzyn, and saw this stuff for sale.  It's a new Zyn by Swedish Match, but one of those that they only sell in Europe.  Meaning, with this one you get 20 portions instead of 15, there's no weird child-lock on there, and you get a catch lid on top of your can.  Again, Sweden has it much better than the US when it comes to smokeless products.  The flavor description for this one says, "ZYN Black Licorice Mini Dry has a taste of licorice and salmiak".  Each can weighs 8 grams and has 20 pouches, for 0.4 grams each.  The nicotine content is 7.5mg/g, which breaks down to 3mg per pouch.  Now, let's open up this can and check this one out!

I haven't had Zyn Mini Dry from Sweden in quite a while, and I don't remember it looking like this!  It looks like Zyn now has something similar to the Star Formation that their premium snus products have, but I'm not sure what to call this one.  Opening the can, the aroma is much more present than the mini dry Zyn products in the US.  I pick up black licorice pretty clearly.  It's also not sweet, like, at all.  It's very impressive.  The pouches are small, and dry.  That hasn't changed much.  Flavor-wise, though, this stuff is super tasty.  The black licorice flavor is pretty present, surprisingly.  It's smooth, and not sweet at all, which is really nice.  The nicotine strength on this one is very light.  I honestly didn't feel any at all.  But, it's just 3mg.  I use 8-12mg, so I tried again and put 3 of these in, then I felt something.  So, if you like lighter strength stuff, you may dig this.  Flavor longevity wise, this one doesn't last too long, maybe about 30 minutes or so.

Rating and Final Thoughts

This one wasn't too bad.  Objectively, it's a decent product.  For me personally, it's a pass.  The pouches are too small, too dry, and too weak.  So it's not something I would use.  But if you like mini dry pouches, the taste is pretty solid.  Especially if you enjoy licorice flavors.  This one ended up at 3.17/5 for me.
