Epok No14 Caribbean Sky S2 (All White) Snus - Review. 17 October 2021.

With how popular nicotine pouches are these days, I realized that a lot of folks may not be familiar with Epok, which is the true originator of the "all white" category.  Epok originally launched back in 2015 with white tobacco, but would eventually devolve into Lyft as nicotine pouches became more popular.  However, you can still find it in a small number of countries such as Poland, Switzerland (though they're changing over to Lyft), and Norway, which is where the one we're talking about today comes from.  Meet Epok No14 Caribbean Sky S2!  I have a new friend in Norway who was able to grab this one for me from Snus365.no (a store with a huge Epok selection), so thanks to him for that!  The flavor description for this one says, "A taste of coconut and pineapple".  Each can weighs 16.8g and has 24 portions, for 0.7g portions.  The nicotine content is 8mg/g, or 5.6mg/portion.

If this one sound familiar, it's a flavor we've seen in the Lyft series before.  The first Lyft Lab series release in July 2020 had a coconut/pineapple release in it, which would later be added to the full time Lyft lineup as Lyft Caribbean Spirit.  This one, however, is a tobacco product.  If you're not familiar with Epok and the all white/white tobacco category, I'll explain.

Here's a look at an Epok pouch cut open, and the material inside.  It looks like regular brown snus, except it's completely white.  This is how the production of white tobacco is described:  "Before the treatment, the carefully selected brown tobacco is prepared.  In the next step tobacco is treated through a washing process in order to obtain white tobacco.  This process lasts until the brown tobacco is completely cleaned into white tobacco.  When the tobacco has its all white color, it’s refined with different and fresh flavors."  So, while it may look similar to a nicotine pouch, it's different, as nicotine pouches contain plant fiber instead of tobacco, and Epok contains actual white tobacco.

When you open the can, it's like you're going right to the beach.  Cosmo Kramer would be jealous.  A clear pineapple aroma comes through, along with a subtle, lightly sweet hint of coconut.  It's a tropical smell, but not super in your face or over-sweet.  The pouch is slim, soft, semi-moist, and pretty comfortable under the lip!  In the flavor profile, it's a nice tropical taste!  The pineapple is more present, but the coconut comes through pretty clearly in the back.  It's a mellow, balanced taste.  It does have some sweetness to it, but it's not overdone at all.  In terms of strength, it does feel a little less than regular, but not too weak by any means.  The flavor, on average, lasts about 45-50 minutes.

Rating and Final Thoughts

I really enjoyed this one.  I rated it at 3.42/5 and found it to be a nice, tropical taste.  Mrs. Snubie and I are planning a cruise for next summer, and this is definitely one I'd love to take with me if I could get more of it.  For those looking to try it out, it's sadly only available in Norway.  Norwegians, head on over to Snus365.no and you can grab it from there.  But for me, I enjoyed it and would definitely grab it again if I could.
