SwedSnus / SnusRoom.com Paré - Review. 31 August 2021.

Today we're talking about another SwedSnus product, from SnusRoom.com.  This is a product you can buy in bulk, and it's also a DIY product.  You can use it as is, or you can add moisture to it and make it an original portion.  More on that later.  In this review we'll talk about their Paré flavor in the slim size version and the regular size version.  The flavor description for this one says, a "combination of lavender and juniper oils and a hint of citrus".  This one sounds a lot like the Enbar version I reviewed a while back, but honestly I liked this one a little more. Before we get into the mixing instructions and the individual reviews, I want to talk about contents, nicotine strengths, and the price breakdown for each one.

Mixing Instructions

You can use this stuff right out of the bag as is if you like white portions.  Or, you can add moisture and make them original portions.  The moisture amount is up to you.  What I've found is that 0.22mL of water per portion makes a beautiful original portion.  You'll see below photos of how they turn out with that moisture amount.  If you want them lower, you can cut down to like 0.16mL per portion, but I wouldn't go below that.  I usually add moisture, shake well, and then put them into the refrigerator (not the freezer) for 48 hours.  Then they're good to go!

Paré Slim Portion

Both of these are pretty similar, but I'm going to cover the slim portion and the large version separately.  And I'll touch on the differences between the white and original portion as well.  As is, it has a nice juniper aroma to it, accompanied by some floral notes, and a light citrus.  The pouches are soft, comfortable in the lip, and with a nice slim fit.  The flavor is a gentle taste of juniper, along with a subtle citrus note, a light floral presence, and a mild earthy balance.  The nicotine on this one feels a little below regular strength, but not too weak.  The flavor lasts about an hour, sometimes a little more.  In terms of the original portion, the main difference is that it amps up the flavor profile.  It has a more present aroma, and flavor.  The flavor longevity is a little shorter, averaging about 45 minutes.  The strength feels about the same, as well.  The original portions turned out great though - a beautiful, dark brown portion with a nice moisture amount.

Paré Regular Size Portion

I feel like I'm going to be redundant, because this one is pretty identical to the last one.  The aroma and flavor and all that is basically the same.  The main difference is the portion size.  I prefer a slim portion because I like a slim, discrete fit.  These portions are more plump, and are going to fill out the lip a little well.  In the original portion version, it's about the same as the one above.  The moisture amount turned out about the same, so it was nice and juicy and has a steady flavor release.  Obviously, of the two of these, I liked the original portion version more.  I like the slim size more, but these weren't too bad.  The portions were nice and plump, and filled out the lip pretty well.  For those who like a bigger portion, this one is the one you're going to want to go for.  But everything else - flavor, aroma, nicotine - all that is identical to the one above.

Rating and Final Thoughts

The slim versions rated higher for me, at 3.75/5.  The large size version rated at 3.67/5.  I'm a big slim portion fan, so obviously those were the ones I liked more.  The rankings were the same for white and original portion on both slim and large.  The reason for that was that the original portion had lower flavor longevity, but more aroma and flavor.  The white portion had less aroma and flavor, but a longer flavor longevity.  So the ratings may be the same, but they were affected in different ways.
