Fumi is, what else, a new line of nicotine pouches. Yes, I know, that's most of everything new nowadays. Companies aren't really making snus products anymore, so 99% of what I review lately is nicotine pouches. I don't really use them myself, but as a tobacco harm reduction activist/advocate, I'm glad they're out there. They can certainly help save lives. This line is one developed by
The Snus Brothers. I don't see any snus products they've made, so I'm not sure if they plan to eventually make snus or not. When it comes to this one, the
flavor description says it has "
flavors of sweet fruits and a unique coconut taste". Each can weighs 16 grams and has 24 pouches, for 0.8g pouches. The nicotine content is 8mg/g (0.8%), or 6.4mg/portion.
The tropical/Caribbean flavor is a growing one in the world of nicotine pouches.
Swave Tropic Spritz came in 2020, followed by
Shiro Piña Colada. This year, Lyft released their
Caribbean Spirit product, as well. Now, Fumi is releasing one in their new nicotine pouch line! The aroma of this one is quite nice. I pick up pineapple up front, a light sweetness, along with a hint of apple and mango. The portions are soft, slim, moderately moist, and comfortable under the lip. The flavor is tropical, but more than just pineapple. Yes, pineapple is the most present, but I also pick up a little lime, along with a hint of mango, and a faint apple touch. It's pretty tasty. The nicotine strength feels just a little below regular, and the flavor lasts about 40-45 minutes, on average.
Rating and Final Thoughts
To preface my rating, I have to say this: I'm not a big nicotine pouch consumer, I'm more of a snus guy. However, I've found that when rating these products, anything between a 3 and a 4 is what I'd consider to be a "good" product. I've only ever ranked one at a 4, so a 4 might as well be a 5, honestly. This one came in at 3.08/5. It's a tasty product, for sure. Not something I could use full time, however. But, I could see this being an occasional use product. If you like nicotine pouches with tropical flavors, definitely check this one out. The entire Fumi line is good, as well! They have some pretty unique flavors that are worth diving into!
