Skruf PWR (Original & White) - Reviews. 10 December 2020.

Like He-Man once said, I have the PWR.  Skruf PWR, that is.  Today, we're going to talk about a neat little release from the folks at Skruf.  This is one that is only sold in Norway (at the time of this review), so if you see it there, it's going to come in the plain-pack cans.  However, as often is the case, we usually see these products come onto the regular market, so I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that we'll see this product line make it's way to Sweden, and then to the rest of the world.  In a world of nicotine pouches, Skruf made a snus with the classic taste of tobacco.  It doesn't get any better than that.  Also, these remind me a lot of the old Skruf Blackline, which was a great tobacco centric snus with a hint of rose oil.  It was only around from 2017 to 2019, but this seems to remind me a lot of that one.

Skruf PWR (Extra Strong) Slim Original Portion

Nicotine Strength:  17mg/g (1.7%) / 15.3mg/portion

When you open the can, a dark, robust tobacco aroma greets you along with a subtle floral sweetness.  I'm thinking this may have rose oil in it, like other Skruf products.  The portions are slim, soft, moist, and have a quick release of flavor, and nicotine.  The flavor is quite tasty.  The tobacco taste is front and center.  It's dark, rich, and well rounded.  In the background I find subtle notes of wood, and a light floral sweetness.  Again, it may be rose oil, but I'm not sure.  The nicotine on this one kicks pretty firmly.  It feels to be a little below the extra strong mark, and provides a steady, firm kick.  The flavor, on average, lasts about 45-50 minutes!

Nicotine Strength:  17mg/g (1.7%) / 14.1mg/portion

This one is a lot like the original portion version, but it's a little more mild in terms of flavor and aroma.  When you open the can, a floral sweetness greets you along with a gentle but dark aroma of earthy tobacco goodness.  The portions are slim, moderately soft, and comfortable under the lip.  In terms of flavors it's like the original portion, but more mild.  The floral sweetness, from what I presume is rose oil, pairs quite well with the gentle, dark, well rounded tobacco character.  The nicotine strength on this one also kicks pretty firmly, and feels between the strong and extra strong level.  I find the flavor on this one to last about an hour, on average!

Rating and Final Thoughts

I was really impressed with these.  When most of what I review is nicotine pouches, it's so nice to review an actual, tobacco-containing product.  The taste is top notch.  The only thing I ranked lower on was strength, because they're a bit too strong for me to use full time.  But a regular strength version of this and I'd be sold!  

If you're a lover of tobacco, and tobacco-flavored products, this is a no brainer.  Again, as of right now, only available in Norway, but fingers crossed that changes in the future!
