Granit Ice Blue Blast (White & Discreet) Chew Bags - Review (Discontinued). 15 September 2020.

NOTE:  This product is discontinued and is no longer produced.

I've reviewed these products a few times, but they have gone through a name/design change, so I'm giving them another review. I first reviewed Granit Mint (Strong White and Extra Strong White) Chew Bags back in 2017, when Fiedler and Lundgren made them. I reviewed them again in 2019 when AG Snus in Denmark began producing these products for Fiedler and Lundgren. Now, they're still made by AG Snus, but called Granit Ice Blue Blast.  Also, there is now a slim version, which is called "discreet" instead of "slim".  I can't find a nicotine strength or flavor description for these anywhere.  I've only seen them sold on Piber.dk, but my friend Jakob in Denmark got these for me to review. What I do know is that the regular version can weigh 16.8g and contains 24 portions for 0.7g portions. The discrete version comes in a 10g can with 22 portions, for 0.45g portions. Beyond that, I can't find anymore info on them.  Also, I want to note that these cans have the FlexLid, so I'm assuming Fiedler and Lundgren sends their cans to AG Snus to put the chew bags in.

NOTE:  If you're unfamiliar with what chew bags are, and how they differ from snus, I did a 2 minute video on the subject, you can check that out, here.

As far as the products go, they're basically the same other than the portions. The regular size one has a moderately soft, plump white portion that fills out the lip quite well. The discreet version is slimmer/smaller in size, moderately soft, and has a comfortable fit under the lip.  The rest is basically the same though.  The aroma is a present smell of peppermint along with a subtle hint of menthol. When you put a portion under the lip you’ll encounter a mild cooling presence, a common attribute of mint products. The flavor is a gentle, mild taste of peppermint with a subtle hint of menthol in the background. The flavor is lightly sweet, but not too overdone. Both of these feel to be at the strong level in terms of nicotine. The flavor on both of these lasts around 50-55 minutes on average.  I found both of these to be pretty solid products, and it's nice that they aren't super strong like most chew bags out there!
