General No6 (Strong) White Portion - Review. 22 June 2020.

Today, I'm going to be doing a rather interesting review. This is a product sold exclusively in Norway, and one in the General Snus family: General No6 (Strong) White Portion. Back when I first started snus in 2009, there was a product called General Sterk White ("The Norwegian Edition"). This one eventually was rebranded to General Strong White, and then discontinued and replaced with General XRANGE Slim White Strong.  So, you can imagine my surprise when I saw this one was still produced, but only sold in Norway.  The flavor description for this one says, "A spicy and light tobacco character, with a clear touch of citrus and bergamot, as well as a hint of tea".  Each can weighs 21g and has 24 portions for 0.875g portions.  The nicotine content is 12mg/g (1.2%), or 10.5mg/portion.

In Norway, snus cans come in this color, also known as Pantone 448 C, or 'opaque couché'. According to a survey, it is "the world's ugliest color". Also, cans in Norway have no graphics on them, they only have the name of the product. I personally like the cans and the color. I find the design simple, and minimalist. So their effort to make snus less attractive did not work on me.

When you open the can, the aroma is the classic General smell! The aroma of citrus is present, with a spicy tobacco smell in the background. The portions come in the star formation, so I suggest fluffing them to loosen up the tobacco. The pouch material is quite soft, and feels great under the lip. The flavor is a present taste of bergamot, with a nice tobacco character in the background. There's also light peppery tones in the flavor, as well. The nicotine feels to be between regular strength and strong, and the flavor lasts about an hour, on average.  If you like General White, you'll dig this one.  Same great taste, but with a hair more nicotine!
