G.4 Dark Frost (Slim All White) - Review (Discontinued). 9 May 2020.

NOTE:  This product has been discontinued and is no longer for sale.

Swedish Match has released another strong product in their G4 line, meet. G.4 Dark Frost!  This is their second one with a 5/5 nicotine strength, following G.4 Deep Freeze a few months ago. G4 are "all white" products, which are slightly different from nicotine pouches, which I'll explain shortly. The flavor description for this one says "Light and spicy character with clear elements of menthol and dark berries.." Each can weighs 22g and has 24 portions for 0.8g portions. The nicotine strength is 18.5mg/g (1.85%), or 14.8mg/portion.

Now, what are the differences between regular snus, all white, and nicotine pouches? Regular snus is, of course, brown tobacco/regular tobacco. Nicotine pouches are products that don't contain tobacco - they have plant fiber and nicotine instead. All white is a mix of white tobacco with a small share of plant fiber. White tobacco is usually refined through some water-based process. You can see on the left the pouch looks like regular snus, except it's all white, as is the material inside the pouch. These also remain completely white before, during, and after use.

When you open the can, a berry smell greeted me which reminded me of blueberry and a little grape. There is also a menthol tone to it, as well. The portions are slim, soft, and comfortable under the lip.  There is a burn when you put it under the lip, and then a cooling presence right behind it.  The flavor is pretty interesting.  It's mostly blueberry, but at times I feel like there's some grape in there, too.  There's also a touch of menthol in the background, as well.  The nicotine kicks in pretty quickly, and feels to be a little above the extra strong level.  The flavor generally lasts about 45 minutes on average.  All in all, it was a pretty interesting flavor.  It's too strong for me to use full time, but I did enjoy the taste of this one!
