Thunder LIT: Ruby Sting (Original) Chew Bags - Review. 10 November 2019.

A lot of V2 chew bag products have gone through redesigns, so I'm doing a bunch of these chew bag reviews this week. This is one that used to be called Thunder Very Raspy (Ultra Strong) Chew Bags, which I reviewed back in 2017.  It went from "Very Raspy" to "Ruby Sting", but it's a raspberry flavor in case you were wondering.  Since it has a new name and a new design, I figured I'd do an all new review of it.  The flavor description for this one says, "Thunder LIT Ruby Sting Chew has a very sweet taste of raspberry".  Each can weighs 17.6g and has 24 portions for 0.73g portions.  The nicotine content is 22mg/g (2.2%), or 16.13mg/portion.

If you aren't familiar with Nordic Chew, or "chew bags", these are products that are made similar to snus, but with two differences. First, the tobacco is cut instead of ground, like traditional snus. Second, the portion material is slightly thicker so the bags can be chewed to release flavor and nicotine. I don't personally chew them, but some do. Those two differences allow these products to legally be sold in the EU in places where snus is banned.

When you open the can, the aroma is a sweet, fresh, cool raspberry smell. It has a cooling presence to it, even when you put one under the lip. However, I don't taste mint or menthol. The portions are moist, comfortable, and have a quick release of flavor! The taste is a very present, natural, fruity raspberry flavor. It lasts a good amount of time as well; usually 45-55 minutes on average! The nicotine strength feels well at the extra strong level.  I really enjoy the taste of this one and it's a shame the snus version isn't around anymore (especially for my friends Alex Clark of CASAA and AJ Moll of the Bistate Regional Advocates for Vaping Education, who are both big fans of it).  If you're a chew bag user and want something with a nice fruity taste, definitely check this one out!
