Review Updated: 2 July 2020
It's been about 5 years since I've reviewed this one, so I figured it was time to do a new review! The Oden's Cold line is probably GN Tobacco's most well known. It's also their line with the most variants; you can get it in virtually any strength and format. This is the regular strength version of the Oden's Cold line (yes, GN Tobacco does make regular strength products). The flavor description for this one says it has "a taste of spearmint". Each can weighs 16g and now contains 20 portions, for 0.8g portions. The nicotine content is 9mg/g (0.9%), or 7.2mg/portion. That's one of the reasons I wanted to do a new review of this one - the new law in Sweden that mandates snus cans must have at least 20 portions per can!
When you open the can, a mild, lightly sweet aroma of spearmint greets you. One thing I like about the Cold line is that they don't overdo the sweetness. The portions come in the white dry format, meaning they're going to be a little dryer than the average white portion. However, the longer you have them in the lip, the more moist they get! Being a mint product, there's also a nice cooling presence that comes on when you put a portion under your lip! The flavor is much like the aroma, a mild, refreshing taste of spearmint! As I mentioned before, it's lightly sweet, and not too overdone in that department. The nicotine strength on this one feels to be right at the regular strength level, and the flavor lasts quite a while! Usually, I can enjoy these for up to 1.5 hours due to the white dry format!
If you like mint products, and want something at the regular strength level, check this one out. It's pretty tasty!
