Skruf Original White (Ecological) - Review (Discontinued). 17 April 2015.

In 2011, the snus world experienced a first - the first 100% natural/organic/ecological snus product - General Green Harvest from Swedish Match. It was released as a limited edition and discontinued shortly thereafter. In 2012, Skruf followed suit and released Skruf Selection, which is still sold to this day. I bring up Skruf Selection because from what I've been told by sources, this product is the same as Skruf Selection. Skruf Selection is a 100% natural/ecological snus, which is the same as this new natural/ecological line from Skruf. But this particular one has the same attributes, aroma and flavor of Skruf Selection. I've also heard Skruf Selection would be discontinued and replaced with this product, but I haven't had that confirmed by Skruf yet.

When you open a can of Skruf Original White (Ecological), the aroma of citrus comes through but doesn't seem to have the underlying sweetness of the rose oil that is common of other Skruf products. The taste is a little more different in that the citrus taste isn't as bold, and the rose oil/sweetness isn't that noticable. The tobacco taste is in the front and is much more present. It has a mild/natural taste to it.  There's a slight hint of pepper in the background, but it's very gentle.  This is definitely a tobacco centric flavor, but there are very subtle and mild hints of citrus in the background.  As far as I can tell, the flavor of this one is virtually identical to Skruf Selection.  If you're a fan of Skruf Selection, this is definitely one to grab a can of.  If you like natural/organic products and want that in a snus with a tobacco centric flavor, this would be a good one to try, as well.  The flavor isn't bland by any means, but it's not bold or in your face.  It's just a good, gentle and earthy tobacco taste with a very mild presence of citrus in the background.
