Today, we have a new US market wintergreen nicotine pouch to check out. This is the long awaited Zyn Ultra product! We've been waiting a while for this one, ever since the PMTA for it was filed back in 2021. Now, it's been brought to the market! I haven't seen it locally, and I bought some on Nicokick.com. The flavor description for this one says "A wintry blast of mint with a hint of sweetness". I have this one in the 9mg/pouch strength. They also make you an 11mg, but I'm good with regular strength. I was excited to try this one. I don't use a lot of wintergreen, but I enjoy it when I'm doing outdoor activties. It's been ages since I've had Zyn Wintergreen Dry, but I don't remember it being that bad. It just didn't have much flavor.
Zyn Ultra Size Comparison
Opening the can, the first thing I said was "wow, it's not mintergreen". Most US wintergreen pouches are super minty, but this one doesn't have that overbearing mint character to it. It's straight up wintergreen. It's slightly sweet, and only faintly minty. The pouches are glorious! They're plump, soft, and moist. They feel great against the lip. There's a very, very slight tingle I get in the lip from this one. In the flavor profile, it's a nice, present taste of wintergreen. It has a very light minty nature to it. But, it's a really nice wintergreen flavor! The 9mg strength is quite enjoyable. It doesn't do a fast nicotine dump like dry Zyn does. It's a more steady, comfortable release of that effect! The flavor lasts about 40-45 minutes, on average.
Zyn Ultra Size Comparison
The new Zyn Ultra comes in a slim, plump, moist pouch. These are definitely bigger than the old Zyn Dry. Zyn Ultra weighs 0.8g. The old Zyn Mini Dry weighs 0.4g. So these are twice as big in weight! These are also moist, and have a much softer pouch. A side piece of information, these are bigger than Velo Plus, too. Those weigh just 0.53g each. These are now some of the biggest pouches on the market in the USA! And, they're bigger than Swedish Zyn, which now sits at 0.6g. Personally, I didn't use the old Zyn Mini Dry much. The pouches were too dry and didn't have much flavor to me, to be honest. These are much, much better. Also, the pouch amount has increased, instead of 15 you now get 20 pouches per can. Now, let's do a review!

Rating and Final Thoughts
All in, this was a pretty solid wintergreen product. I rated it at 2.5/5. It's got a nice wintergreen flavor, an incredibly soft pouch, and a comfortable release of nicotine. You really can't ask for much else, honestly. If you're an outdoorsman, or enjoy the taste of wintergreen, you'll wanna cop some of this one!
