Zyn Ultra: Signature Smooth & Chill Mist (Nicotine Pouches) Review. 20 June 2026.

This week, the long awaited Zyn Ultra finally released!  After they filed the PMTA for this product back in 2021, PMI decided to go ahead and release this product onto the US market!  They initially launched in a limited way, so I copped some on Nicokick.com.  Today, we're going to be checking out Signature Smooth and Chill Mist.  These are their unflavored variants, much like their old Smooth and Chill products.  I don't personally use a lot of unflavored products but they're good for a few reasons.  One, they can be sold in flavor ban states.  And two, some people enjoy nicotine but no flavor.  Honestly, I've been enjoying unflavored pouches a bit lately when I've been doing work outside.  It's easy to throw a pouch in, set it and forget it, and go on about my day.

Now, on to these products, how are these different from old Zyn Mini Dry?

Zyn Ultra Size Comparison

Zyn Ultra is a slim, moist pouch.  These are bigger than the old Zyn Dry.  Zyn Ultra weighs 0.8g.  The old Zyn Mini Dry weighs 0.4g.  These are also moist, and have a much softer pouch.  A side piece of information, these are bigger than Velo Plus, too.  Those weigh 0.53g each.  These are now some of the biggest pouches on the market in the US.  And, they're bigger than Swedish Zyn, which now sits at 0.6g.  Personally, I didn't use the old Zyn Mini Dry.  The pouches were too dry and didn't have much flavor to me.  These are much, much better.  Also, the pouch amount has increased, instead of 15 you now get 20 pouches per can.  Now, on to the reviews!

Zyn Ultra Signature Smooth

Flavor Description:  "The classic unflavored experience, elevated".

My Review:  This is, of course, an unflavored pouch.  In the aroma and the taste, I don't pick up much of anything other than pouch material.  Perhaps a subtle sweet tone, but not much.  The pouch is incredible.  One of the best I've had in the US.  It's plump, soft, moist, and feels great under the lip.  The nicotine release is also quite nice.  It has a steady, gradual delivery.  Much better than the fast nicotine dump you get from dry Zyn.  For flavor longevity, you can really just keep these in for as long as you want, as long as you're feeling effect!

Zyn Ultra Chill Mist

Flavor Description:  "A surprisingly cool and crisp unflavored nicotine experience".

My Review:  Honestly, this one really isn't that much different from the previous one.  These two are pretty identical in most aspects.  Really, the only difference I get with this one is that it gives a subtle cooling presence.  It's not minty, but I suspect an added cooling agent of some form.  It also gives a bit of a tingle sensation in the upper lip.  Again, not minty.  But the rest - pouch, nicotine release, flavor longevity, all that, it's the same as the previous one.

Rating and Final Thoughts

I usually do ratings for products, but I stopped doing them for unflavored ones.  It's hard to rate a product without a flavor, because it can skew the rating really high, which I think feels inaccurate to me.  I will say I gave the pouch a 4/5 on my ratings of the flavored ones.  Probably one of the most comfortable pouches on the US market.  While I don't use a lot of unflavored stuff, I can say that this was an enjoyable product.  If you enjoy nicotine pouches, and want a high quality, moist, soft pouch - you should check out the new Zyn Ultra line.
