Joey Nicotine Pouches - Review #3. 7 June 2026.

I have even more Joey Pouches today to check out!  This is now the third in a series of Joey reviews I've done.  So far I've reviewed 24 flavors of Joey and today I have 8 more.  It's interesting, these are some of the better ones I've had so far, so this review has been fun to do.  If you aren't familiar with Joey, they're a line of nicotine pouches made here in the US.  They have a unique format known as "flavorbeads", which I'll touch on momentarily.  And, they have more flavors than any other nicotine pouch brand, to my memory, I've ever encountered.  So, let's get into these reviews and get to know these Joey products!

What's inside a Joey Pouch?

As you can tell, these look different from most nicotine pouches.  They contain "flavorbeads", as Joey has come to call them.  They're similar to Swedish Match's Volt Pearls I tried many years ago.  The flavorbeads are made of microcrystalline cellulose, pectin, and sodium alginate.  The Joey team tells me that this gives the product an "unmatched level of satisfaction, a quick nicotine release, and a longer-lasting experience of flavor".  In the lip, they have an interesting feel.  You can't fluff them much so they are very slightly flat.  The can weighs 8g and has 20 pouches, weighing 0.4g each.  They're also slightly dry.  But, they do have a nice flavor release to them!  In the strenght, these come in 3, 6, and 9mg.  I've tried them all, and I find the 3mg to be a bit weak, the 6mg to be rather moderate, and the 9mg to be the most enjoyable strength they make.  The 9mg one has a nice delivery of nicotine and feels to be around the regular strength level!

Now, on to the reviews to check out these flavors!

Joey American Tobacco

Flavor Description:  "Classic tobacco flavor with a dry, earthy finish".

My Review:  I tried their Red Tobacco flavor not long ago, but found this one to be much better.  In the aroma, I pick up a sweet, nutty, earthy aroma.  It does, in a way, remind me of a tobacco scent.  The flavor is quite enjoyable.  It is a little on the sweeter side, but the tobacco-imitation comes through well in the flavor.  It's nutty, it's toasty, it's slightly caramelized, it's earthy.  It's a pretty close imitation!

Joey Wild Blueberry

Flavor Description:  "Berry flavor with a slight earthy edge".

My Review:  In the aroma, this one has a pretty clear aroma of blueberry.  It is slightly tart, but not overly sweet.  Flavor-wise, the blueberry flavor is mild, and gentle.  It's slightly sweet, and slightly tart.  It's a pretty enjoyable taste.

Joey Dragon Fruit

Flavor Description:  "Tropical fruit with a smooth finish".

My Review:  This one has a beautiful aroma to it.  It's fruity, and tropical.  It's sweet, but slightly tart.  In the flavor profile, I enjoy the tropical flavor that comes through.  It's slightly fruity, perhaps a little berry/pineapple type of flavor.  But, it's a little citrusy, with some tart tones.  It's a very well rounded taste.

Joey Grape

Flavor Description:  "A sweet grape taste".

My Review:  Opening the can, I get a beautiful grape aroma.  It's almost like opening up a fresh can of grape soda.  In the flavor profile, it's very much a grape taste.  It's slightly sweet, but quite present.  Definitely tasty!

Joey Tropical

Flavor Description:  "A bright, mixed tropical fruit taste".

My Review:  I love tropical flavors, so I was excited to get into this one.  Opening the can, a rich, tropical aroma comes through.  It's fruity, and sweet.  In the flavor profile, wow, this is tasty!  The tropical flavor is fruity, and sweet.  It's not super tart, or sour.  It's a very present taste.  It's say perhaps a little pineapple/guava type of flavor, but almost with some red berry tones.

Joey Salted Caramel Macchiato

Flavor Description:  "A sweet, buttery caramel and bold espresso with a touch of savory salt".

My Review:  I don't drink a lot of coffee personally, but I enjoy the occasional taste of coffee.  In the aroma, I pick up a rich coffee aroma, along with a slight sweetness.  In the flavor, the coffee taste is front and center.  It's smooth, almost slightly creamy, with some sweetness, and a touch of salt.  If you like coffee, you may dig this one.

Joey Peppermint

Flavor Description:  "A sharp, classic mint flavor characterized by an icy, crisp, and fresh finish".

My Review:  Joey. has quite a lot of mint flavors, but I missed this one on my last round of reviews.  In the aroma, I pick up a sharp, icy, sweet aroma of peppermint.  In the flavor profile, peppermint is front and center.  It's sweet, and fresh.  It's more icy than it is smooth.  It definitely has a bite to it.

Joey Lemon Lime

Flavor Description:  "A bright, zesty citrus profile characterized by a vibrant lemon-lime blend and a sharp, refreshing citrus bite".

My Review:  I was rather curious to check this one out.  I haven't had a lot of citrus pouches in the US that I've enjoyed.  Honestly, most of them have a Pine Sol/cleaning product presence to me.  In the aroma, I pick up a present smell of lemon.  Flavor-wise, it's a little sweet, but also a little tart.  It has a nice lemon flavor to it, with subtle tones of lime.  And it doesn't have as much of that cleaning product presence other US pouches have.

Rating and Final Thoughts

To go down the line, I'll start at the top.  My favorites were Dragon Fruit and Tropical, at 3.5/5.  After that, American Tobacco, Wild Blueberry, and Lemon Lime, at 3.33/5.  After that, Salted Caramel Macchiato and Grape at 3.25/5.  Lastly, Peppermint at 3.17/5.  All of these were pretty solid, but the more tropical ones came out on top for me!
