About 4 months ago, it was announced that Granit Snus was going away, and merging into the Lundgren's Snus line. Today, we have one of the new ones to check out. The old Granit Original Portion has become what we are reviewing today, Lundgren's Original Portion! Now, in a much better looking can! I saw this on SnusPort.com, and it's still a cheaper priced snus. General, for example, sits at $5.07 a can, whereas this sits at $3.89 per can. The flavor description says "a well-balanced tobacco character and subtle notes of bergamot and citrus". The can still weighs in at 18.7g and has 22 portions, for 0.85g portions. The nicotine content sits at 9mg/g, which breaks down to 7.65mg/portion. Now, let's check out the snus!
To start this off, if you enjoyed the old Granit Snus, this is the same thing. Just in a different can. I didn't notice any differences, to be honest. Opening the can, I pick up a present aroma of bergamot, along with clear notes of pepper. There's also a rich, earthy base tobacco smell. The portions are semi-moist, soft, and have a great mouthfeel to them. The flavor is still pretty solid. It's very much the traditional snus flavor. The tobacco base is earthy, and present. The bergamot flavor comes through pretty clearly, with mild tones of pepper. It's a pretty decent taste. In the strength, this one feels about the regular level, and has a nice delivery of nicotine to it. The flavor tends to hang out about 40-45 minutes or so.

Rating and Final Thoughts
My rating remains the same from the last time I had this one, 3.42/5. It's a decent flavored snus. If you like traditional tastes, you'll enjoy this one. And it's cheaper, so you can't beat that. So, if you liked Granit before and were curious about this one with the name change, I can tell you that you can safely enjoy this one. It's still a pretty solid snus!
