At the end of 2025, PMI discontinued two lines of snus: the One line and the XRANGE line. However, the XR products continued to live on in other forms.
Göteborgs Rapé XRANGE Strong Slim White lived on, and relaunched as Göteborgs Rapé Stark Slim White Portion. It's the same snus, just in the new design you see here. The flavor description for this one says "
Light and spicy tobacco character with clear hints of lavender and juniper, as well as a hint of wood and citrus". Each can weighs 16 grams, and has 20 portions, weighing 0.8g each. The nicotine content sits at 13.5mg/g, which breaks down to 10.8mg/portion. Now, let's check it out!
This is the same as the old GR XRANGE Strong product, but for those who haven't had it before, I'll still do a review. Opening the can, I pick up a nice aroma of juniper. There's a slight herbal/floral character to it, along with a faint touch of citrus. The portions are slim, soft to the touch, and comfortable under the lip. They're semi-moist, with a gradual flavor release. The taste is the classic GR flavor, but in a slim pouch. The juniper flavor comes through first, and then the herbal notes. It's slightly floral, and has a faint touch of lemon. In the nicotine strength, it feels a little above regular strength. It isn't too crazy strong or anything, and has a nice delivery to it. The flavor lasts about an hour, on average!
Rating and Final Thoughts
My rating on this remains the same as last time, 3.5/5. It's a pretty decent product. I'm a big GR fan, I have been for many years. It's one of those products I use on a regular basis. I'm more partial to the regular strength version, but this one is still pretty good if you want something a little bit stronger!
