Patriot Pouch (Nixodine Pouches) - Review. 1 February 2025.

Today, we have something that's about as 'Murica as it gets.  I'm reviewing Patriot Pouch!  These are very much made, and marketed, for the American market.  The can says "Faith First, Freedom Forever", and has a Bible verse on the top:  1 Cor 16:13.  A quick check to pull up that verse:  "Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong".  The can says these are made in the USA, as well.  These aren't your standard nicotine pouches, however.  These don't have nicotine, they have a similar synthetic compound:  Nixodine.  More info on that, Nixodine is "a nicotine analog, 6-methyl nicotine, which activates the same nicotinic receptors in the brain as nicotine".  Now, before we get into the review, let's go over what these all have in common.

Product Commonalities
The Pouch - I weighed these out, and I came up with 10 grams of content.  I counted 20 pouches, weighing 0.5g each.  The pouches are slim, soft, and semi-dry.  They have a pretty nice feel under the lip, as well.
The Flavor Presence and Longevity - The flavors are all petty present I've found, and yield a long life-span, of about 30-40 minutes, on average.
The Nixodine Effect - It isn't too far off of nicotine.  I do find it to yield a stimulant type effect.  It seems to be a bit more pronounced, and to hit a little quicker.  It's similar but different.  It is interesting, though.  I'd put it between caffeine and nicotine, if I had to put it somewhere.

Patriot Pouch:  We The People Wintergreen

Flavor Description:  "A crisp and clean burst of wintergreen"

My Review:  This one has a really nice wintergreen smell.  A lot of products in the US have this "mintergreen" type of aroma/flavor to it, but this one actually smells like wintergreen.  In the flavor, it's a present taste of wintergreen, but slightly sweet.  Honeestly, it reminds me a lot of a wintergreen Tic-Tac.  Pretty tasty.

Patriot Pouch:  Orange You Glad You're American

Flavor Description:  "A nostalgic blend of orange creamsicle and a smooth citrus burst"

My Review:  When you open it, this one does have an interesting aroma to it.  I'd say it's a mix of orange and vanilla.  In the flavor, it does very much have that orange creamsicle flavor.  It's on the sweeter end, and is a nice pairing of vanilla and orange.

Patriot Pouch:  Liberty Mint

Flavor Description:  "A clean, crisp, and invigorating burst of spearmint"

My Review:  This one has a pretty nice aroma of spearmint to it.  It's sweet, present, and refreshing.  In the flavor profile, it's a lot like a good chewing gum.  The spearmint flavor is present, and has a nice sweetness to it.  It's very fresh, in nature.

Patriot Pouch:  Freedom Frost

Flavor Description:  "An icy burst of cool mint"

My Review:  This one seems to be more on the peppermint end of things.  When I open up the can, I pick up a sharp, sweet aroma of peppermint.  The flavor is sweet, refreshing, and icy.  It has a nice taste of peppermint to it.  I'm more of a spearmint guy, but I do occasionally go for a peppermint flavor here and there.  The last one was pretty smooth, but I'd give this one the edge on being more icy, bold, and powerful.  But both weren't too bad.

Rating and Final Thoughts

This is a pretty neat brand.  If you don't know me, I can be pretty 'Murican.  No, I'm for real.  So, I obviously very much like the branding, and the names on these.  As far as the ratings go, Orange sits at 3.08/5, then Wintergreen at 3/5, then Liberty Mint at 2.92/5, then Freedom Frost at 2.75/5.  Granted, I'm more of a snus guy, and I enjoy nicotine, so that does often skew my ratings on products that aren't snus or nicotine.  But, I do like to try alternatives, and these caught my eye, so I figured I'd do a review on them.  So, if you're a nicotine enthusiast and want to try something different, you could give these a go if you're looking for an alternative.
