ON! Plus Nicotine Pouches (US Market) - Review. 30 October 2025.

The day is here, and today I will be reviewing the new ON! Plus Nicotine Pouches launched on the US market.  I first encountered ON! Plus about a year ago and did a review of some of the ones out of Europe.  When I heard they were coming to the US, I was quite curious!  In August Altria announced that they were coming to the US market, and starting with three test markets NC, TX, FL.  They are starting with three flavors:  mint, wintergreen, and tobacco.  They launched online a few weeks ago (thanks to a friend of Snubie for helping me acquire these), but then recently pulled them offline.  I've heard now they're back to just the three test markets.  So, if you got an order in during that window, consider yourself lucky to have these!  I acquired the 9mg strength, as this is mostly what I use myself.  They also come in 6 and 12mg.  I was pleased with the 9mg strength and found it to have a decent release of nicotine.  Now, what's special about ON! Plus?

The Pouch and NicoSilk Tech

The pouches are, I kid you not, the softest I've ever had.  I know some call Zyn "lip pillows", but these are the first pouches I've encountered that are actually that soft.  Altria calls them "the softest pouch on the planet", which I agree with.  It's called FlexTech, and this is how they describe it:  "FlexTech is the material in on!®PLUS that makes the nicotine pouch elastic. It is made of a soft material and does not have the traditional welded ends".  In the cans I acquired, I counted 13-15 pouches.  I weighed them out at around 0.67g each.  Another note...these pouches stretch!

ON! Plus Stretchy Pouches

As you can see from this GIF (if it works), you can actually stretch these pouches.  I'm not sure why you would want to do that, but it is an interesting addition.  I actually did a video on X about this, and these pouches can stretch up to almost 6" before they lose their pouch integrity and break.  I don't make a habit of stretching these when I use them, but if you're so inclined to do so, you can.

ON! Plus Mint

Flavor Description:  "Sweet, spearmint and peppermint complex".

My Thoughts:  In the aroma, this one is quite fresh, and minty.  I pick up slightly more spearmint than peppermint, but I do note a subtle peppermint tone with it.  In the flavor profile, this one is a pretty decent mint taste.  The spearmint and peppermint is a good pairing.  It's refreshing, and lightly sweet.  It's not as sweet as I've had before, which is good.  The flavor has a mild body to it, and about 30-40 minutes of lifespan.

ON! Plus Tobacco Flavor

Flavor Description:  "Classic tobacco taste".

My Thoughts:  Opening the can, the aroma that comes through is slightly earthy.  I pick up some light pepper notes, and a slight nuttiness.  In the flavor profile, it doesn't taste exactly like tobacco, but does have some elements that remind me of tobacco.  It has a slight spice to it, like pepper.  It is nutty, and almost seems to have wood notes to it.  I notice the flavor to be relatively mild.  It's not as bold as Velo Plus, but is pretty balanced and lasts a decent 30-40 minutes.

ON! Plus Wintergreen

Flavor Description:  "Bold wintergreen with cooling sensation".

My Thoughts:  I've dubbed most US wintergreen products "mintergreen", because I find them to be a little more minty than I'd prefer.  Opening the can, I note the same, here.  The wintergreen aroma is there, but more mild, and accompanied by some minty notes.  The flavor profile does capture that American "mintergreen" essence.  It's a mild, even pairing of wintergreen and mint.  It is sweet, but not exceedingly so.  The flavor longevity is decent, with around 30-40 minutes of life on them.

Rating and Final Thoughts

After trying ON! Plus, I will say I'm impressed with the pouches.  I put the pouch material above Velo Plus, and probably the softest, most comfortable pouches I've ever encountered in the nicotine pouch space.  Flavor-wise, they were a bit more mild than I had hoped.  I'd give Velo Plus the edge of flavor presence.  But, as they sit themselves, Mint came out on top at 3.33/5.  After that, Wintergreen at 3.25/5.  Lastly, Tobacco Flavor at 3.08/5.  All in all, pretty decent products, and a solid offering to the US market.  I would like to see more flavor varieties at some point, but a good initial offering for folks in the US who are looking for a soft pouch with some traditional flavor profiles.

As of the date of this writing, it looks like they aren't selling online and are only in three test markets from what I've been told, but they may change at some point as the brand grows.
