Today, I've got a whole lot of nicotine pouch products to check out. This is the Max Kick range. This is a brand of pouches made in Estonia by Nano LTD. They're sent here to the US and are about to be sold on the US market. Today we have 8 flavors to try out: Cinnamon, Peppermint, Caribbean Crush, Spearmint, Strawberry Watermelon, Chill, Wintergreen, and Cool Mint. All of these have the same contents: 12 gram cans, 20 pouches per can, 0.6g each. The pouches are all the slim, soft, moist type. They have a pretty nice mouthfeel, too. There are two strengths available, 6mg/pouch and 12mg/pouch. The 6mg one is quite light, but I found the 12mg one to have a better delivery, around the regular to strong level. The flavor longevity for all of these was pretty similar, about 30-40 minutes per pouch. Now, let's get into the reviews and talk about my favorite part: the flavor profile!
Flavor Description: "A classic, stronger wintergreen option".
My Review: Opening the can, this one is much like other US wintergreen products. As I've come to call it, "mintergreen". US wintergreen products are always really minty. In the aroma and flavor of this one, it captures that mintergreen presence. It's a lightly sweet, minty taste of wintergreen.
Max Kick Strawberry Watermelon
Flavor Description: "A fruity combination of strawberry and watermelon".
My Review: In the aroma, I pick up the strawberry first, and then a light touch of melon in the background. It has a little sweetness to it, but not over-sweetened. In the flavor profile, it's lightly sweet, but pretty fresh! The strawberry and watermelon flavors together are a good mix. They're pretty tasty.
Max Kick Spearmint
Flavor Description: "An exquisite spearmint flavor".
My Review: Spearmint is my favorite mint, and this one has a nice presence of it. In the aroma, it's a sweet, refreshing aroma of spearmint. Under the lip, the spearmint flavor is present, fresh, and sweet.
Max Kick Peppermint
Flavor Description: "A refreshing peppermint flavor".
My Review: In the aroma, this one has a bold, icy, powerful aroma of peppermint. Maybe a little menthol, too. It's lightly sweet in nature. In the flavor profile, the mint flavor is very bold. It's icy, sharp, and fresh. It's a little sweet, but not overdone in the sweetness department.
Max Kick Cool Mint
Flavor Description: "A crisp, icy mint flavor".
My Review: This one smells a lot like the peppermint one. This one has a present, focused, icy mint aroma. It's a pretty bold aroma of peppermint, perhaps with some menthol tones. In the flavor profile, it's a pretty fresh mint taste. It's present, and bold. It's mostly peppermint, but like the aroma perhaps a little menthol. It's lightly sweet in nature, but not overly sweet.
Max Kick Cinnamon
Flavor Description: "A warm, spicy cinnamon flavor".
My Review: I like the smell of this one. It's not mega sweet, and has a slightly spicy aroma of cinnamon. A lot of the ones I've had before are almost even in the sweet/spicy department, but this one seems less sweet. In the flavor profile, it's pretty good! The cinnamon flavor is present, and slightly spicy. It is a little sweet, yes, but not overdone in that department!
Max Kick Chill
Flavor Description: N/A
My Review: I honestly didn't know what to expect with this one, I couldn't find a flavor description for it. When I open the can, I didn't really pick up an aroma other that pouch material, so I suspect this is their unflavored one. Under the lip, a slight tingle. But, flavor-wise, no taste. So, more for the folks who want an unflavored experience.
Max Kick Carribean Crush
Flavor Description: "A tropical blend of fruity flavors".
My Review: I'm a big fan of tropical flavors, so of course I saved the best for last! Opening the can, I pick up a citrusy, tropical aroma. There seems to be some orange, perhaps some mango, maybe a little guava. In the flavor profile, this one is super tasty. I pick up a tropical taste of mango, maybe some pineapple, perhaps some guava. The orange flavor is also a nice pairing to it. This is a pretty good one. It's complex, tropical, and very well rounded!
Rating and Final Thoughts
Below, you'll see I have a lot of ratings. One note, the Chill one has a weird average, because it doesn't have an aroma or flavor to rate. That one wasn't really for me, but I think folks who like unflavored stuff will dig it. I found the pouches to all have a nice feel. In the strength, the 6mg was too light, but the 12mg sat nicely with me. Purely flavor wise, I'd say my favorites were Carribean, Cinnamon, and Spearmint. If you're looking at which ones to try out, I'd say those three were the best of the bunch!
