It's time, the new
Alp Spearmint is here! If you aren't familiar with Alp - a quick rundown! Alp is a line of nicotine pouches
launched by Conservative news personality Tucker Carlson. I've reviewed a lot of their
other flavors in the past, but this one is interesting. It's said to be a limited edition. Not sure why a simple flavor like spearmint is limited, but that's what Alp says. On
their site, they say "
Get it while supplies last. One of our most anticipated flavors is out of the vault. Spearmint is available now, but it won't last long". When it comes to the flavor profile, this is how they describe it: "
Packed with a crisp, cool flavor and ALP’s signature moisture, this pouch is the king of mint. No dry disappointment, no weak flavor, just pure spearmint power".
In terms of the contents, Alp Spearmint comes in a 10 gram can with 20 pouches, at 0.5g each. This one is the 9mg/pouch strength. But it is also available
on their site in 3 and 6mg. Now, let's open it up and do a review!
Opening up the can, the aroma that comes through is quite good. Much like a spearmint chewing gum, it's very refreshing. It is on the sweeter side, so be prepared. That is common with spearmint, however. The pouch is slim, moderately moist, and soft to the touch. I find it to be comfortable under the lip, with a subtle cooling sensation after I put a pouch in. In the flavor profile, it's quite good. With mint, I much prefer spearmint to other mint flavors. The spearmint taste is present, and sweet. It's relatively smooth, and refreshing. In the strength, the 9mg release is pretty comfortable. I mostly use 8-10mg pouches myself, so I found the 9mg to be quite adequate. The flavor hangs out a good 40ish minutes, or so.
Rating and Final Thoughts
In the end, this one was pretty good. Of the three Alp "minty" flavors - Refreshing Chill, Chilled Mint, and Spearmint, I think Spearmint is their best mint yet. Sitting at 3.83/5, I found it to be quite enjoyable, and refreshing. If you like minty flavors, I think you'll enjoy this one!
