Velo Sweet Blackcurrant (Limited Edition) Nicotine Pouch - Review. 7 August 2025.

Today, we have another limited edition release from BAT:  Velo Sweet Blackcurrant.  I am a sucker for the flavor of blackcurrant.  You don't see it in a lot of products, so when I see one, I make sure to grab it up.  I found this one on Snusio.  BAT made another product with this flavor a little while ago, Lyft Blackcurrant.  So, I was curious to see how the flavors compared!  The flavor description for this one says a "refreshing, juicy taste of ripe blackcurrant".  Each can weighs 14 grams and has 20 pouches, at 0.7g each.  The nicotine content is 11.4mg/g, or 8mg/pouch.  Now, let's open the can and check it out!

Opening up the can, I noticed the aroma to be a mild smell of blackcurrant.  It's very lightly sweet, and kinda tart.  I noticed the old Lyft one to be more sweet than this one, so this definitely is a different recipe.  The pouch is slim, and pretty soft to the touch.  It's lightly moist, and has a quick flavor release to it.  The flavor profile is a gentle taste of blackcurrant.  It is lightly sweet, and has a nice tart nature to it.  It's not a super bold taste, but it has enough body to it that I still dig it.  The nicotine strength feels to be about regular, and it has a steady release to it.  The flavor lasts about 40-45 minutes, on average.  All in all, it's not bad.  Different from the Lyft one!

Rating and Final Thoughts

I rated this one at 3.66/5.  I found it to be pretty enjoyable!  There aren't a lot of blackcurrant flavors out there, so it sucks that it's limited.  But, it was nice to have it, and it's a great summer release!  If you see it for sale, grab some.  Limited editions tend to go pretty quick, so usually it's a good idea to get some sooner, rather than later.  This one looks like it was produced in June of 2025, so it doesn't seem to be selling that fast, so that means it might not be super popular.  Either way, if you like this flavor, still grab some to be safe!
