NOAT Nicotine Pouches - Review. 27 June 2025.

I recently stumbled across a rather interesting nicotine pouch line:  NOAT.  I'm not sure what the name means.  The pouch is oat based, so perhaps N-Oat?  I dunno.  The brand is said to be "nicotine without all the noise".  The people who make NOAT said they saw some problems with nicotine pouches, including shady additives, high pH, intense burn, and a chemical taste.  They focused in on four areas:  formulas, mouthfeel, sustainability, and discretion.  Today, we have four of their products to check out:  Spicy Lime, Spicy Melon, Ginger Peach, and Peppermint (all in the 7mg strength).  They have three other flavors that I haven't tried yet:  Spearmint (4mg), Cold Mint (10mg), Matcha (7mg).  Now, let's check out the product.

What's in the box?

As you may have noticed, NOAT comes in a little box.  The drawer can slide out two ways:  one for new pouches, and one for old pouches.  This is usually called a catch lid with regular cans, but they have a catch drawer, as I've come to call it.  Their website says the pouches use oat fibers, mainly for a unique nicotine absorption.  They say their pouches hold flavor longer, and release it over a long period of time.  This gives NOAT a smooth, balanced flavor and nicotine delivery.  They also note that NOAT is pH neutral, matching the pH level of the mouth.  They say this will cause less burn in the mouth.  Each container has 10g of pouches.  There are 20 in the box, meaning 0.5g each.  The nicotine content on these four says 7mg, which I assume is per pouch.

The User Experience
In terms of the user experience, I was quite pleased with the pouch.  It was moderately moist, but not too moist.  It had a very nice mouthfeel, and felt soft against the gums.  The aroma and flavor presence, and release, were pretty solid.  The nicotine release was slower and more gradual than most nicotine pouches, which made it more enjoyable to me.  It had a nice feel at the regular/baseline level.  The flavor longevity was impressive, and hung out about 40 or so minutes, which is the longer end of things for nicotine pouches.

The "Catch Drawer"

On the other side of the box, you'll find a section that says "old pouches".  As mentioned above, this is where you can put your old pouches if you aren't near a trash bin.  I haven't really done it myself, mainly because a used pouch is usually wet and I didn't want it to make the box wet.  I'm sure it's fine, but I'm usually overly cautious about things, so I just tossed them in the trash.  I'm sure it's no big deal, but that's just a me thing because I'm weird.  Now, let's move into the fun part of this review and try out these pouches!

NOAT Spicy Melon

Flavor Description:  "Our honey melon packs a lot of fresh and bit of bite.  Try it and see why it’s a crowd pleaser".

Review:  Sliding out the drawer, I get a big aroma of melon.  It's almost like a cross between honeydew and watermelon.  It's sweet, and seems to have a hint of pepper to it, and almost a light mint tone.  Under the lip, the flavor is mostly melon, with a mild sweetness and a touch of pepper.  It's not super spicy, and seems to have a minty-character to it, as well.  Not minty in taste, but perhaps a small amount of added menthol.

NOAT Spicy Lime

Flavor Description:  No Flavor Description Available

Review:  In the aroma department, this one has a present aroma of lime.  There's a light touch of pepper to it, as well.  This one isn't overly sweet, but has a little tart nature to it.  This one has a slight tingle in the lip, and a pretty nice flavor release.  I find the lime flavor to be pleasant, and tart.  There's a little pepper tone to it, but it's not overly spicy and doesn't have a major burn to it or anything.

NOAT Peppermint

Flavor Description:  "Enjoy the crispiest crispy peppermint in crispy land.  It tastes crisp.  It feels crisp.  Because it is.  Crisp".

Review:  This line has three different mint products, and for this review I'm trying out their peppermint flavor.  The mint aroma on this one is sweet, and smooth.  It's peppermint, and yes, crisp, but not overly sharp.  Under the lip, I get a mild cooling presence from the mint character.  In the flavor, the peppermint is pretty smooth.  It is on the sweeter side.  It's not mega-sharp or bold, but it does have the aforementioned crisp nature.

NOAT Ginger Peach

Flavor Description:  "We started with a peach pouch but felt something was missing:  then we added ginger and now it’s a winner".

Review:  This one has a beautiful aroma.  It reminds me a lot of Zyn Lemon Spritz, with the peach character.  This one has a nice, present aroma of peach.  There is a slight hint of ginger in the background, as well.  The flavor is really nice and balanced.  It's mostly peach, but the ginger adds a nice character to it.  It's not super sweet, either, which is a nice experience.

Rating and Final Thoughts

I was pretty impressed with NOAT.  From the different packaging, to the different pouch fillings, to the different pH and nicotine release, I enjoyed my time with NOAT.  The aromas and flavors were quite solid, with a great presence and a great longevity.  I think people looking for a more modern, clean experience will be pleased with these.  NOAT stands apart from other nicotine pouches in style, presentation, and experience.

As far as ratings go, I updated this rating in August, 2025.  I spent more time with NOAT and came to appreciate the pouches, as well as the flavors and their release more.  My rating went up a tad on each one.  Ginger Peach, Spicy Lime, and Spicy Melon tied at 3.92/5.  Peppermint came in at 3.75/5.  I know these scores may still sound low, but keep in mind, I rarely (if ever) rate nicotine pouches over a 4.  I enjoy snus more, so I have an inherent bias that I own.  But I always mention this in my ratings so people know these are my personal rating, and your experience may veary!

As of right now, NOAT is invite only.  You have to have a code to get access to their site.  This could be, perhaps, to release a little at a time as they are getting set up (they are a very new company).  But, I imagine in time they will open up to everyone, and perhaps be available on other webstores.  So, when the time comes that it is available, you should give it a try, you may enjoy it!
