The day is upon us and I'm ready for you to join me on the Snubie World Tour! This is a new line of premium nasal snuff made by 6 Photo Snuff in India, and sold on MrSnuff.com! I've made a lot of snus and nicotine pouch products over the years, but only one other nasal snuff. As a lover of tobacco, I didn't want to make more nicotine pouches, but it's hard to make snus products. So, I decided it was time to dive back into the world of nasal snuff! This line is inspired by my love of travel, and each product brings a unique aroma that will carry you around the world on the Snubie World Tour! As I do when I make snus products, the first 7 aromas we are releasing are ones that were voted on by the snuff community, as I like to involve tobacco fans in my product development. Today, we have Sierra Forest to check out, so let's get to know it better!
Of all the products in the Snubie World Tour line, this is the one I personally wanted the most. It is my favorite, as well. As an outdoorsman, I absolute love this one. I'm glad it did so well in the polls! This is the only one in the SWT line that has menthol in it. I asked people if they wanted menthol in any of these, and this is the only one that really got any votes in that category. So, let's see if it works! In the aroma, I notice a nice tone of menthol off the top, then a subtle presence of spruce, and pine. The tobacco is semi-moist, and I find this snuff pretty easy to take! In the nose, this stuff smells phenomenal. The spruce and pine is pretty present, along with a subtle base tobacco. I do pick up the menthol clearly, but it doesn't overpower the forest notes. It adds a certain briskness to it, much like a crisp morning in the woods. I don't get a big throat hit with this one, but I do get a slight sneeze here and there. And, no major heavy drip for me, either. The nicotine strength is pretty solid, with a nice delivery to it. On the tail end, as the menthol fades out, I pick up a beautiful lingering presence of the outdoors!
Each one of these products comes in two sizes: 30 grams and 15 grams. So, you can go to the big boy if you want (about the size of a snus can), or go with a smaller 15 gram tin if you want to test it out. And, a special shout out to Kiley Owen for the beautiful graphic design on these. He also did some design work on my Artisan Snus!
Now, to give you the aroma description, I did go a little J Peterman Catalog from Seinfeld with these, but I truly wanted to immerse you in the Snubie World Tour! I'll share the whole review, but I'll bold the key aroma ingredients for you, as well. Aroma description: "As the sun is rising, you lower the zipper on your tent, open the flap, and step outside. All around you, beams of sun come through the trees and dance on the ground. You put on your hiking boots, throw your backpack on, and set out down the trail into the wilderness. The morning air is crisp, and cool. The rich smell of spruce and pine surrounds you, and engulfs your senses. After your hike concludes and you leave the forest, it's hard not to miss the experience. The Snubie World Tour line captures this essence with every tin of Sierra Forest. Opening the can, you'll encounter beautiful aromas of spruce, pine, along with a subtle, cooling tone of menthol. You can recapture that memory with every tin of Snubie's Sierra Forest."
Now, let's do a review! Some say it's weird that I review my own products, and it's hard to see impartial, and that may be true in a way, so I won't be doing a rating for these like I do with my regular products. I'll just describe them as I usually do!
Final Thoughts
I tested this one last weekend on our camping trip, to see how it was in the outdoors. First, it's very enjoyable outdoors. And, another note, it pairs very well with Lundgren's Norrland, one of my favorite snus products and one with a similar flavor! But on it's own, this one is quite good, and easily my favorite of the line.
One quick note, you may notice the labels on this first run scratch easily, and the design to not be super sharp on the 15g tin. This will be rectified on the next run, and I do apologize for it. But, on the next run we'll make sure they're much better!
