Snubie World Tour: Port Royal Rum (Nasal Snuff) - Review. 26 March 2025.

The day is upon us and I'm ready for you to join me on the Snubie World Tour!  This is a new line of premium nasal snuff made by 6 Photo Snuff in India, and sold on MrSnuff.com!  I've made a lot of snus and nicotine pouch products over the years, but only one other nasal snuff.  As a lover of tobacco, I didn't want to make more nicotine pouches, but it's hard to make snus products.  So, I decided it was time to dive back into the world of nasal snuff!  This line is inspired by my love of travel, and each product brings a unique aroma that will carry you around the world on the Snubie World Tour!  As I do when I make snus products, the first 7 aromas we are releasing are ones that were voted on by the snuff community, as I like to involve tobacco fans in my product development.  Today, we have Port Royal Rum to check out, so let's get to know it better!

Each one of these products comes in two sizes:  30 grams and 15 grams.  So, you can go to the big boy if you want (about the size of a snus can), or go with a smaller 15 gram tin if you want to test it out.  And, a special shout out to Kiley Owen for the beautiful graphic design on the SWT line.  He also did some design work on my Artisan Snus!

Now, to give you the aroma description, I did go a little J Peterman Catalog from Seinfeld with these, but I truly wanted to immerse you in the Snubie World Tour!  I'll share the whole review, but I'll bold the key aroma ingredients for you, as well.  Aroma description:  "Arr! It is the Age of Piracy, and you find yourself in Jamaica, in Kingston Harbor. Port Royal, to be exact. This bustling port was visited by the likes of Sir Henry Morgan, Calico Jack, and Blackbeard, to name a few. You find an alehouse, order a bottle of rum, and watch the ships moving in and out the port. Jamaica was a plentiful source of sugarcane, so this area was quite known for its rum! The Snubie World Tour wanted to perfectly encapsulate this experience, with Snubie's Port Royal Rum. With every tin, you'll experience the rich aroma of dark Caribbean rum, along with rustic tones of oak, and a presence of dark chocolate. Come and sail the High Seas, matey, with Snubie's Port Royal Rum!"

Now, let's do a review!  Some say it's weird that I review my own products, and it's hard to see impartial, and that may be true in a way, so I won't be doing a rating for these like I do with my regular products.  I'll just describe them as I usually do!

This is another one I was looking forward to.  I was hopeful that it would make it through the polls and here it is!  I love all things pirates.  From reading Treasure Island as a boy, to playing Skull & Bones with the missus, to (of course) Pirates of the Caribbean.  I could go on and on, but I love pirate stuff.  So, when I knew we were making a rum one, it had to have a pirate theme.  Opening the tin, the aroma that I note is a slightly fruity aroma of rum, along with notes of dark chocolate.  The grind is quite lovely.  It is semi-moist, and pretty easy to take.  In the nose, wow, what a presence!  In the nose, I was quite impressed with how this one turned out.  I  notice a spiced rum first, along with a mild base tobacco.  There are hints of dark chocolate, almost a touch of wood, and a gentle fruitiness.  I don't get a major drip or throat hit from this one, but I can get a slight sneeze from time to time.  The nicotine kick is solid, and has a nice delivery to it.  On the tail-end, I notice a lingering presence of rum and chocolate, which is quite lovely.

Final Thoughts

As a fan of all things piracy, I am in love with this one.  It is a beautiful snuff.  And, I can't say I've ever had anything like it.  All the aromas come together in such a nice way.  This is one you'll want to try out if you enjoy rum, or enjoy piracy!  Arrrrr!

One quick note, you may notice the labels on this first run scratch easily, and the design to not be super sharp on the 15g tin.  This will be rectified on the next run, and I do apologize for it.  But, on the next run we'll make sure they're much better!
