Poke Nicotine Pouches - Review. 26 February 2025.

I recently did an order from SnusMe.com, and grabbed some nicotine pouches to review.  I got two brands:  Poke, and Blow.  I know, interesting names.  And the two together sounds like a sex move.  But, they had some interesting flavors, so I thought I'd check them out.  And with more and more brands getting banned from the US, I try to review as many as I can for the nicotine pouch audience here.  So, let's talk about Poke!  These are made by House of Pouches, which is located in Denmark.  Each can weighs 12 grams and has 20 pouches, for 0.6 grams each.  The nicotine content is 20mg/g, which puts these to 12mg/pouch.  In regards to what they have in common, the pouches are all slim, semi-moist, and moderately soft.  The nicotine strength of 12mg/pouch is the same across all 5 products, and feels to be a little over the regular strength.  The flavor longevity seems to be between 30-40 minutes for all of these.  Now, let's get into the reviews and talk about where they differ:  aroma and flavor!

Poke Watermelon

Flavor Decription:  "A taste of sweet watermelon".

Review:  Watermelon isn't super common with nicotine pouches, so I was jazzed to try this one.  In the aroma, this one has a present, sweet aroma of watermelon.  There seems to be a little menthol to this one, too.  In the flavor profile, it was milder than expected.  The watermelon taste is pretty light, and has a subtle sweetness to it.  It also seems to have some menthol tones to it in the taste.

Poke Tropical

Flavor Decription:  "A taste of tropical fruits".

Review:  I love tropical flavors and always get excited to see exactly which fruits they use.  This one was interesting.  At first, I smelled orange, then mango, and then pineapple.  It was a pretty tropical aroma.  The flavor is sweet, and tropical.  It's citrusy, with a little orange.  Then, the tropical elements of mango and pineapple.  This one is pretty tasty!

Poke Raspberry

Flavor Decription:  "A sweet taste of juicy raspberries".

Review:  Raspberry is another one that isn't too common with pouches.  The smell of this one is top notch.  It has a ripe, juicy aroma of raspberry as soon as you pop the lid.  In the flavor, the taste wasn't as present as the aroma, but was still good.  It has a pretty natural, mild taste of raspberry.  There seems to be a little menthol to this one, too.

Poke Mint

Flavor Decription:  "A classic mint taste".

Review:  Of course there's a mint one.  Every company has to have one (at least).  I think it's a law or something.  So, which mint is this one?  To me, it errs closer to a mild peppermint, with a mix of menthol in it.  It's sweet, but not mega sweet.  In the flavor, the mint is pretty light.  I pick up a subtle peppermint, along with some menthol.  It has a pretty clean, pure taste to it, without a ton of sweetness.  It's not bad.

Poke Citrus

Flavor Decription:  "A zesty citrus experience".

Review:  Opening the can, this one has a tart, tangy aroma of citrus.  The citrus seems to be lemon, if I had to peg down which citrus this one reminds me of the most.  There also seems to be some mint notes to this one.  In the flavor, it's very much the same.  The citrus flavor is front and center, and tastes most closely to lemon.  It also has some mint elements to it.  I'm not sure why mint has to be mixed with everything nowadays.  Honestly, this one would be better without the mint, because the lemon taste is pretty solid.

Rating and Final Thoughts

All in all, not a bad line.  It's pretty standard, with the usual flavors.  My ratings averaged between 3.25-3.58, so these ended up pretty average for me.  Tropical was the best one, and came out on top at 3.58/5.  Of the 5, this is the only one I would really use myself.  The other 4 weren't bad, just not anything revolutionary or anything.  Citrus at 3.42/5, Watermelon and Raspberry both at 3.33/5, and Mint at 3.25/5.  I think it's because there's so many nicotine pouches out there and they all tend to run together for me that it's rare that any stand out.  But, I will say the Tropical one tasted quite unique, and I would definitely recommend that one to nicotine pouch enthusiasts!
