Nordic Spirit Nicotine Pouches (New 2024 Edition) - 6 January 2025.

It's interesting to see Nordic Snus AB's Nordic Spirit line back.  For those who may be new to nicotine pouches, I first had this line back in 2018.  The last time I remember having it was in 2021.  Shortly after that, Nordic Spirit seems to have vanished, other than in the UK, where I saw it here and there.  Now, it's back!  The cans say "Limited Edition" on them, so I'm not sure if that means they're testing it, or what the plan is.  We have 6 different flavors to check out today.  We also have a variety of strength levels to check out.  Each can weighs 14 grams, and contains 20 pouches, weighing just 0.7 grams each.  Before we get into the reviews, I want to cover the commonalities in these products.

Commonalities

The Pouch:  The pouches are slim, moderately moist, and quite soft.  They feel great under the lip.  The last time I had Nordic Spirit they were slightly dry, but these are moist than last time I had them.  

The Flavor Longevity:  All of these have a long lasting flavor, up to about 40 minutes per pouch.

Now, let's check out the products!

Nordic Spirit Tropical Mix

Flavor Description:  "A taste of mango and sour pineapple"

Nicotine Strength:  8mg/g, or 5.6mg/pouch

Review:  This one has a really nice aroma.  It's tropical, slightly tart, and lightly sweet.  I smell pineapple, then some mango.  The flavor on this one is really tasty.  It hits all the tropical high notes for me.  The pineapple and mango blend very well.  The taste is tropical, tangy, and semi-sweet.  This one is quite nice!  This one is a lighter strength one, at 5.6 mg/pouch, so it feels to delivery a little below the regular strength level.

Nordic Spirit Raspberry

Flavor Description:  "A taste of raspberry"

Nicotine Strength:  12mg/g, or 8.4mg/pouch

Review:  This one has a pretty nice aroma of raspberry to it.  It's almost slightly floral, and has a sweet nature to it.  The flavor is pretty solid.  The raspberry taste is sweet, fruity, and natural!  This one has the regular strength level, so it has a comfortable, steady delivery to it that is quite enjoyable. 

Nordic Spirit Melon Fresh

Flavor Description:  "A sweet melon flavor"

Nicotine Strength:  8mg/g, or 5.6mg/pouch

Review:  This one has a mellow, fresh aroma of melon.  I'd place it closer to a cantaloupe type of aroma if I had to guess what melon this one smells/tastes like.  In the flavor, the melon is fresh, natural, and lightly sweet.  It reminds me of cantaloupe, much like with the aroma.  This one has a lighter strength one, and feels to be just below the regular strength mark.

Nordic Spirit Frosty Mint

Flavor Description:  "A peppermint flavor"

Nicotine Strength:  15mg/g, or 10.5mg/pouch

Review:  This one has a pretty straightforward mint aroma.  It's an icy smell of peppermint.  It's also not overly sweet, which is nice.  Under the lip, I get a mild cooling sensation, as well.  In the flavor profile, I pick up a gentle, icy, balanced taste of peppermint.  I like that it isn't in your face sweet.  Nicotine-wise, this is a stronger one, sitting at 10.5mg/pouch.  It feels a little above regular strength, but isn't too crazy strong.

Nordic Spirit Frosty Berry

Flavor Description:  "A taste of peppermint and fruity berries"

Nicotine Strength:  15mg/g, or 10.5mg/pouch

Review:  Opening up the can, this one has a subtle menthol tone to it, along with a light berry presence.  The berries are hard to pin down, but it's a mild, not super sweet berry aroma.  Under the lip, I encounter a mild cooling sensation.  The flavor is interesting.  It's mild, and is pretty well balanced between menthol and berry.  The berry flavor seems like a blend, and is fruity but not super sweet.  This one is a stronger one as well, at 10.5mg/pouch.  It feels to deliver just a little above the regular strength level.

Nordic Spirit Forest Berries

Flavor Description:  "A berry flavor"

Nicotine Strength:  8mg/g, or 5.6mg/pouch

Review:  And now we come to the last one in this series of Nordic Spirit reviews:  Nordic Spirit Forest Berries.  Opening the can, this one has a pretty interesting aroma to it.  It's almost like a blend of grape and blueberry, to me.  It's not super minty, but does have a little cooling essence to it.  Under the lip, you'll also get a mild cooling sensation.  Flavor-wise, this one is pretty good.  It's not super minty, but is refreshing.  The berry flavor blends well.  It seems to be, like with the aroma, a mix of blueberry and grape.  This one is 5.6mg/pouch, so it has a lighter delivery of nicotine.

Rating and Final Thoughts

I was pretty impressed with this new Nordic Spirit lineup.  The pouches seem to be higher in quality than last time I had them, and they're more moist.  From top to bottom, Tropical Mix and Raspberry came out on top at 3.58/5.  Next, Melon Fresh, Frosty Berry, and Forest Berries at 3.42/5.  And lastly, Frosty Mint at 3.25/5.  But out of all of them if I had to pick a favorite, it would be Tropical Mix, that one was super tasty.  Again, I'm not sure if this is actually "limited", but just in case, go grab some and try them out while they're still around!  They're pretty solid.
