OEO Nicotine Pouches - Review. 12 November 2024.

Something we've been seeing on the US market lately is a lot of new products popping up.  Many of them are made in China and distributed in the US.  Some of the ones made in China are also designed to imitate Zyn.  Today, I have a new one to check out called OEO.  I'm not sure who produces these, nor can I find a website for them.  But what I do notice is that these are pretty clearly designed as a Zyn alternative, you could say.  The can is a childproof can, the pouches are quite similar to Zyn, and so are the flavors.  That being said, how close to Zyn are these?  Are they any good?  Well, let's break off into my review and check them out!

Each one of these cans weighs 6 grams and has 20 pouches, at 0.3g each.  So, the weight is similar to Zyn, but with more pouches.  They are also pretty similar in moisture amount.  They're mini in size and pretty dry.   In the nicotine department, these come in 6mg and 9mg.  I have the 6's on deck today, and I notice these to be a little lighter in strength.  I suspect the 9mg ones are going to be closer to regular strength.  The flavor presence on these is a bit more than with Zyn, and they all seem to last a little bit longer, around 30-40 minutes or so, on average.

OEO Cherry

Flavor Description:  "a delightful fruity cherry flavor"
(NOTE:  For the flavor descriptions in this review, I pulled them from VapeJuiceExpo.com).

Review:  This one has a mild, faint aroma of cherry.  In the flavor profile, it's very simple, mild, and basic.  The cherry flavor is light, and faint.

OEO Citrus

Flavor Description:  "a zesty taste of citrus"

Review:  The aroma of this one is a faint citrus.  It reminds me mostly of lemon.  In the flavor, this one is a very mild, tart citrus.  To compare it, it reminds me of Zyn Citrus.

OEO Clear

Flavor Description:  "a clean and crisp experience"

Review:  This one has a cooling, almost mentholated character to it, but very basic.  Same with the flavor, it has a slight cooling essence to it, but it's unflavored.  Really, all I taste is pouch material.  This one reminds me a little of Zyn Chill.

OEO Cool Mint

Flavor Description:  "Refreshing minty sensations"

Review:  The aroma of this one is mild, light, and simple peppermint.  It's also not super sweet.  The flavor is very much the same.  It's a very basic, faint, lightly sweet taste of peppermint.  This one is similar to Zyn Cool Mint and Zyn Peppermint.

OEO Peppermint

Flavor Description:  "a flavor of peppermint"

Review:  In the flavor profile, this one has a sharp, fresh, icy aroma of peppermint.  In the flavor, it's a straightforward taste of peppermint.  It's refreshing, and slightly icy.  This one reminds me of Zyn Cool Mint / Zyn Peppermint.

OEO Smooth

Flavor Description:  "mild, pleasant, and flavorless"

Review:  This one is quite basic.  Both in the aroma and flavor, it's basic.  All I really taste or smell is the pouch material.  This one reminds me of Zyn Smooth.

OEO Spearmint

Flavor Description:  "a flavor of spearmint"

Review:  The aroma of this one is a light, semi-sweet smell of spearmint.  In the flavor, it's spearmint, but very faint, and very light.  This one reminds me of Zyn Spearmint.

OEO Wintergreen

Flavor Description:  "a burst of wintergreen flavors"

Review:  This is an interesting one.  In the aroma, it's minty.  There's a little wintergreen, and some spearmint.  In the flavor profile, I pick up a slight wintergreen.  It's almost like a root beer essence, but minty.  It's interesting.  If you like Zyn Wintergreen, you may find this one isn't that close to that one.  Don't get me wrong, it has a wintergreen quality to it, but it's not your standard run of the mill wintergreen.  I think because this was most likely made in China, and wintergreen isn't a common flavor internationally, so it may be a harder one to clone.

Rating and Final Thoughts

So, all in all, these appear to be Zyn clones, from what I've gathered.  The ratings averaged between 2.5 to 2.75, which puts them around the average mark for me.  In ratings, I put Citrus and Spearmint on top, at 2.75/5.  Next, Peppermint, Wintergreen, Cherry, and Cool Mint at 2.67/5.  And lastly, Smooth and Clear at 2.5/5.  While these aren't products I would use, I imagine if you like Zyn, you may want to try these out.
