Nowadays, you don't see a lot of new snus products. The last new snus brand I can recall is my Artisan Snus line, that launched back in 2022. Now, a new brand called
The Moose has launched, made by
Hansa Snus on Gotland in Sweden! Today, we have their Arctic Super Strong on hand to talk about - a snus with a minty flavor and a super strong nicotine kick! The
product description for this one says, "
An intense taste of mint". Each can weighs in at 14 grams and has 20 pouches, for 0.7 grams each. The nicotine content is 30mg/g, which sounds quite strong! However, thanks to the 0.7g portions it actually drops down to just 21mg per portion. So, strap yourselves in and let's check this one out!
Opening up the can, the aroma is a sharp, present aroma of mint. It's an icy peppermint, with a slight sweetness. I notice a light tobacco base in the background, too. The portions are lighter in weight, at just 0.7g each. They're quite soft, with a moderate moisture amount. When I put one in the lip it has a nice feel, and yields a little burn at first. Shortly after, it gives way to a fresh cooling presence. In the flavor profile, it's a sharp, present, icy peppermint. It has a light sweetness to it, and a faint tobacco that peeks out the longer you have a portion in. The nicotine strength is quite strong. If I had to place it, I'd say it's close to the extra strong level in delivery. The flavor hangs out for about an hour, on average. All in all, it reminds me a lot of the Siberia product line.
Rating and Final Thoughts
I gave this one a 3/5. I don't use a lot of mint products, and when I do I don't use a lot of crazy strong stuff. So this one isn't for me. But, there are a lot of folks out there who like this sort of thing. I can say the product quality is pretty decent, I just wish the portions were a little more filled. It's got a nice taste, just a little strong for me, personally. But, if you like a strong snus with a mint flavor, give this one a go, you may enjoy it!
