Today we're going to be checking out LiX Nicotine Pouches. I've seen these here and there online, and thought it was time to check them out! According to some info I got with these, LiX is "For individuals in search of a high-quality tobacco alternative. LiX is a new, modern oral nicotine pouch built on the heritage of Swedish Snus that provides an unparalleled satisfaction through it's sooth feel and authentic, long-lasting flavors." They're also said to use a "premium fleece" which has a "superior fabric and no powder leakage", as well as "99.98% pharmaceutical-grade S-type nicotine from CNT". Meaning, synthetic nicotine and not tobacco-derived nicotine. All that basically translates to a premium experience with high quality ingredients and a high quality pouch.
Before we get into the reviews, I want to talk about what they all have in common before we get into the differences in these products.
Commonalities:
Portion/Mouthfeel - The pouches are lighter in weight. Each can weighs 8.66g and has 20 pouches, which means 0.43g pouches. They will feel smaller in size, but they aren't too terribly small. They have a slim fit in the lip, and a soft portion material with a moderate moisture level.
Nicotine Delivery/Strength - At 6mg, it's just a hair below regular strength. I find the nicotine to deliver in a steady way, with a satisfactory kick. I mostly use regular strength, so I wasn't lacking with this one.
Flavor Longevity - The flavors usually last up to about 45-50 minutes, which is comparable for nicotine pouches with more moist contents.
Now that we've talked about what they have in common, let's talk about where they all differ - and that is in the aroma and flavor categories!
NOTE: In this review, I'm reviewing the 6mg strength. They also have other strengths available. Also, they have a Citrus and "Tobacco" flavor, but those weren't available at the time of this review.
Flavor Description: "A deep, more complex, and sophisticated wintergreen flavor".
Review: Opening the can, I notice slight earthy tones to the aroma. The wintergreen is subtle, and not too in your face. In the flavor profile, I pick up an earthy, minty flavor profile. It's rich, with a subtle, mild wintergreen tone in the background.
LiX Spearmint
Flavor Description: "A more subtle, lighter mint flavor with a refreshing and soothing taste".
Review: Opening the can, the spearmint aroma that comes through is quite nice. It's gentle in nature, and subtle in sweetness. Under the lip, I notice a cooling presence due to the mint flavor profile of this one. The taste on this one is spearmint, but it's very smooth, and gentle. It is on the sweeter side, but not overdone in the sweetness department. A very fresh taste!
LiX Peppermint
Flavor Description: "A burst of corps Peppermint that elevates your senses".
Review: Opening the can, the aroma that comes through is a smooth aroma of peppermint. It's present in nature, and semi-sweet. Of course, being a mint product, I get a nice cooling sensation when I put a pouch under the lip. In the flavor, the peppermint is smooth, but present. It's pretty refreshing in nature, and has a sweet tone to it. It's not super sweet, but it is on the sweeter side.
LiX Mint
Flavor Description: "A freshening, cool blast of mint".
Review: I know, how many mints do you need? They already have peppermint and spearmint, but I guess wanted to do just one more. How does this one differ? Well, it's closer to their Peppermint one, but more focused. In the aroma, the peppermint is present, sharp, and icy. Under the lip, I meet the cooling sensation that comes with the mint flavor. In the taste, it's pretty refreshing. It's sweet, but not as sweet as peppermint. The mint tastes is definitely more focused, and has more presence to it.
LiX Dragonfruit
Flavor Description: "An exotic, sweet, and juicy tropical flavor that provides a smooth and mellow hit".
Review: After four minty flavors, it's nice to get to something different: dragonfruit! In the aroma, it's very tart, and tangy! The dragonfruit is clear, and earthy. The flavor is quite nice. It's fruity, and tropical. It's slightly tangy, with some tartness, and a little earthiness to it. Dragonfruit is a rather interesting flavor, and is certainly unique. It's not your average, every day fruit taste, but definitely stands out.
Rating and Final Thoughts
Let's go top to bottom with the scores. I thought Dragonfruit and Spearmint were the better ones, at 3.25/5. In the mid-tear came Peppermint and Wintergreen at 3.08/5. And on the lower end came Mint, at 2.92/5. That's mainly based on flavor. In the other aspects, I was pretty impressed. I found the product quality to be very high. The flavor deliver was solid, the nicotine experience was satisfactory, and the flavors were long-lasting. The scores may seem lower on paper, but I don't use a lot of nicotine pouches, I'm more of a snus guy. So take that with a grain of salt. But, all in all, I was pretty impressed with these and found them to be quality products. If you're looking to try these out, the only site I've seen them on currently is Nicokick.com.

ReplyDeleteCloser to Rouge - moistened feel vs dry
ReplyDeleteZYN is awesome but I've been looking for a moist pouch and Lix is amazing. Also better price which doesn't hurt. Just wish they had a promotion ..
