Wait, what is this? A new snus product? Yes, your eyes do not deceive you! In the era of nicotine pouches, we still see, from time to time, new snus products! These are two new ones from Swedish Match called "Akka". Akka means "old woman", and is made of twelve individual mountain peaks and ten glaciers. Stortoppen is the highest one, at 2,015 meters, or 6,611 feet. This is the 8th highest in Sweden. This new snus line draws inspiration from this with it's name. This release comes with two variants, one a white portion (Vit) and one a white strong portion (Vit Stark). Surprisingly, there was not an original portion release in this family. In regards to the details from Swedish Match, let's check those out.
In this review, I'll be reviewing both together. Honestly, they're basically the same product other than the nicotine strength. I try not to get redundant, so this will help that. When you open the can, a nice, raw tobacco aroma greets you. I pick up a very faint touch of citrus, a tea-like presence, and a hint of pepper. The portions are semi-dry, but not as dry as a white dry snus. They're semi-soft, but grow in comfort in the lip as they get more moist. In terms of the flavor profile, it's mostly a raw tobacco taste. It's got a great tobacco base. I do pick up hints of tea, along with a very, very faint citrus. There's also a nice pepper presence to it, but it's not overly peppery. The white portion (Vit) one feels to deliver nicotine right at the regular strength level. The white strong portion (Vit Stark) one feels to deliver at the strong level, maybe just a little bit above. Both of these have a flavor that lasts about an hour.

Now, with all that being said, let's get into the review!

Rating and Final Thoughts
The white portion (Vit) version I liked more, due to it's lower strength. I rated that one at 3.33/5. The white strong portion (Vit Stark) one rated just a little below that, at 3.17/5. All in all, this isn't a bad snus. It has that budget feel to it, and a budget taste, but it's not a cheap taste, if that makes sense. I've heard some say this reminds them of Knox White, which I think is fair. To me, it honestly reminds me of another Swedish Match product - Kaliber Plus White Portion.
If you want to try it, so far it's only available in Sweden at Swedish Match stores and on their e-store. I don't know if that will change or not, but I don't see why I should not anticipate seeing it on other stores. It's not a limited edition, and is a pretty standard snus, to be honest. So, keep your eyes peeled, you never know, it may pop up on some other e-stores out there for folks outside of Sweden.
NOTE: This product is now available at SnusExpress.com for those outside of Sweden! Here's a purchase link: https://www.snusexpress.com/us/en/brands/akka.
