Zyn Black Cherry (Mini Dry) Nicotine Pouches - Review. 19 May 2022.

Review Updated:  1 February 2025

It's been a few years since I've had the mini dry Zyn Black Cherry, but they recently did a new can design so I figured I'd grab a can and do a new review of it.  It's the same product as last time, just with a new look!  I grabbed this in a recent order from Snusio.com.  The flavor description for this one says "A cherry flavor with hints of wild berries and vanilla".  Each can weighs 8 grams and has 20 pouches, at 0.4g each.  This one comes in two strengths, Normal (3mg/pouch) and Extra Strong (6mg/pouch).  I have the 6mg one today, but one note, this isn't extra strong.  Regular strength is 8-10mg, so this is actually below regular strength.  Now, let's review!

Opening the can, this one has a mild, light aroma of black cherry.  It's lightly sweet in nature.  The pouches are much like the US Zyn, if you're on this side of the pond.  They're flat, stiff, and dry.  They soften up a tad under the lip, you just have to give them some time to get more moist.  The flavor is pretty decent, but very mild.  The black cherry taste is there, but it's faint.  But, that's a common thing with the dry Zyn pouches, they don't have as much flavor to them.  In the strength, the 6mg is a little light.  I find it to deliver just a little below that reuglar strength level.  The flavor tends to stick around about 30ish minutes or so.

Rating and Final Thoughts

My rating remains the same from last time - 3.17/5.  It's not bad, I'm just not a big fan of the small dry Zyn pouches.  I think their slim/moist pouches are much better.  For example, Zyn Black Cherry Slim, I think is better.  But that's just me.  I know lots of people like Zyn Mini Dry.  So, if you're in that camp, you'll probably dig this one.  It's one of the better tasting products in the Zyn Mini Dry range.
