A new product has released in Swedish Match's One series! Today, we're talking about One Lila, or One Purple as I call it. This is one with an interesting flavor that blends licorice with floral elements. If you aren't familiar with the One series, it's a cheaper product line that has traditional flavors like General and GR, but also more unique flavors, like this one. The
flavor description for this one says, "
A spicy tobacco base with subtle notes of violet, salmiak, sweet licorice, bergamot, and pepper". Each can weighs 20 grams and has 20 portions for 1 gram each. The nicotine content is 13mg/g (1.3%), which is easily 13mg/portion.
As a fan of both floral tasting snus, and licorice flavored snus, I was pretty stoked to try this one out. When you open the can, you'll notice a rich aroma of black licorice and violet. I also pick up a little bit of pepper in the background. The portions are the beautiful One portion material or, as I like to call them, the "spider-web" portions. They have a thin material that is both comfortable and yields a fast release of flavor! The flavor on this one is pretty tasty! I pick up the sweet, floral taste of violet first. Right behind it are notes of salty black licorice. There's a mild tobacco base, and then some notes of pepper. The nicotine strength on this one feels to deliver at the strong level and has a solid kick to it. On average, the flavor lasts about an hour.
Rating and Final Thoughts
This one wasn't too bad! I rated it at 3.5/5. If you've had Skruf's Norrsken, for example, you'll enjoy this one. The licorice taste is enjoyable, and the floral notes really round it out. The entire One series is solid, so if you've never had it, I highly suggest checking it out.
