LeMax Nicotine Pouches: Wintergreen & Spearmint - Reviews. 25 November 2021.

I recently stumbled across LeMax Nicotine Pouches via their Instagram account.  I don't review a lot of nicotine pouches, but these caught my eye so I figured I'd give them a go.  LeMax is a brand made by Lemax Corporation in China.  They use TFN/synthetic nicotine, meaning there is no tobacco involved whatsoever in their nicotine pouches.  While some companies use tobacco-derived nicotine, these pouches do not contain "any tobacco derived substance".  LeMax comes in a wide range of flavors, and today we're checking out their Spearmint and Wintergreen variants.  Each can weighs 8 grams, and contains 20 pouches, for a pouch weight of 0.4g each.  The nicotine content is 8mg/pouch in total.

LeMax Nicotine Pouches: Wintergreen

Flavor Description:  "A crisp and refreshing Wintergreen flavor. Pleasant and relaxing. It was developed specifically for the American snuff market, but it can definitely be enjoyed anywhere".
Review:  The aroma of this one is definitely not the usual wintergreen smell.  It does have a presence of it, but it's more subtle and sweet.  It's outdoorsy, and seems to almost have some pine to it.  The pouches are pretty dry, so not super comfortable at first.  But over time they'll get more moist and soft in the lip.  They also have a light cooling presence in the lip.  In the flavor, it's outdoorsy, but not a straight up wintergreen.  It's more of a subtle, sweeter wintergreen with some pine notes to it.  The nicotine strength feels about the regular level, maybe just a hair below.  The flavor lasts for about 30-40 minutes, on average.

LeMax Nicotine Pouches: Spearmint

Flavor Description:  "A cool, sweet flavor experience. This combined gives you a warming yet cooling sensation under your lip".
Review:  When you open the can, a sharp, sweet aroma of spearmint greets you.  The pouches are on the dryer side, so at first they aren't very comfortable under the lip, but as they get more moist they'll soften up.  Since it's a mint product, you'll notice a cooling presence under the lip when you put a pouch in.  In the flavor profile, it's a pretty light, mild presence of spearmint.  It's sweet, but not overly sweet.  The nicotine strength feels to be a little below regular, and I find the flavor lasts for about 30-40 minutes on average.

Rating and Final Thoughts

While I'm not the biggest user of nicotine pouches, I've found that anything I rate at a 3/5 or higher is something I'd consider to be a decent product.  For this series, Spearmint rated at 3/5, and the Wintergreen one rated at 3.02/5.  The Wintergreen one just narrowly edged out Spearmint because I found it to be a pretty unique take on the wintergreen flavor profile.  If you want to try these out, you can check out their website; they have a lot of flavors available that you might enjoy:  LeMaxPouch.com.
