Swedish Match's Small Batch series has been around for a few years and has seen 23 releases. Twenty-one regular releases, with this one, and 2 Chef's Edition releases. The 21st addition in the Small Batch series is called Rosenhagen, and has a pretty unique flavor profile. If you're unfamiliar with the line, this is how Swedish Match describes it: "We at Swedish Match have produced thousands of products over the course of a few hundred years. Our experts are experts in the correct sense of the word. But they have not been tired of developing new ideas. In order for them to get that opportunity - and for Swedish snusers to be able to share it all - we now launch a new range of products called Small Batch, where the flavor is replaced several times a year. Each flavor is produced in a small edition."
When you open the can, the rhubarb is the most present. It's a sour, earthy, citrusy smell. There's mild hints of juniper, along with a subtle floral sweetness. The portions come in the Star Formation format, and are pretty soft and comfortable. They do need a little fluffing, to get them out of the wedge shape. In the flavor, I pick up the rhubarb front and center. It's a tart, earthy berry flavor. I pick up a little citrus in the background, along with a mild hint of juniper. There's a slight taste of pepper, along with a little floral sweetness. I also notice some faint hints of anise in the background. In the strength, it feels to be about regular strength. The flavor, on average, lasts about an hour,

Rating and Final Thoughts
This one ended up at 3.38 out of 5. For the entire Small Batch series, this one ranks at #15 out of the 23 releases I've had so far. It's not bad by any means, just not my favorite one I've had yet. The flavor is just, I dunno, odd. It's not bad, just not one I really enjoyed. I applaud Swedish Match for making new snus products, though. I'm glad I still get try, and review, snus products. Even if they aren't ones I enjoy.
