Lucy Nicotine Pouches - Review. 21 August 2021.

Most are probably familiar with Lucy.  They're a maker of nicotine gum, and pretty heavily advertise on social media.  Now, they're launched into the world of nicotine pouches with their new Lucy Nicotine Pouches!  Their description says these are "remarkably satisfying tobacco-free nicotine pouches", which to me reads like synthetic nicotine and not tobacco derived nicotine.  Each pouch is said to have "a custom blend of nicotine and moisture enhancers".  Also, they say their nicotine blend "has been engineered to provide the most nicotine sensation possible".  These products have a lot in common, so as not to get too redundant I want to cover their similarities before we get into the individual reviews.

Product Similarities
Portions - These are all the slim format, and are moderately moist with a slim fit in the lip.
Nicotine (4mg) - This is their lower strength one, and it feels to be lower than the regular strength mark.
Nicotine (8mg) - This is (currently) their highest strength offered, and it feels comparable to regular strength snus.
Flavor Longevity - I notice these seem to all last about 30-40 minutes, on average.

Now, on to the reviews.  In the reviews we'll simply be covering the aroma and flavor differences between each product.

Lucy Nicotine Pouches:  Spearmint

Description:  "A bold and fresh flavor that will leave your whole mouth feeling clean and minty."
Can Contents:  7 grams, 15 pouches, 0.47g each
Nicotine Strengths:  4mg/portion and 8mg/portion

Review:  When you open the can, this one has a mild, smooth aroma of spearmint.  It seems to have a hint of peppermint to it, as well.  In the lip, you'll encounter a light cooling sensation, as well.  The flavor is a mild, fresh, lightly sweet taste of spearmint.  I also seem to pick up subtle notes of peppermint in the mix, as well.

Lucy Nicotine Pouches:  Mango

Description:  "Our Mango flavor is our sweetest pouch. The fruity flavor really jumps out at you when you first pop it into your mouth."
Can Contents:  7 grams, 15 pouches, 0.47g each
Nicotine Strengths:  4mg/portion and 8mg/portion

Review:  This one is my favorite of the three.  When you open the can, a bright, juicy, fresh aroma of mango greets you.  The flavor is delicious.  It's a natural, fresh mango flavor.  It's lightly sweet, with a juicy presence to it.  It's mild, but not weak by any means!

Lucy Nicotine Pouches:  Cool Cider

Description:  "There’s a bit of minty freshness in there, but over time, it releases a light fruity flavor that you might recognize from a cup of warm apple cider."
Can Contents:  7 grams, 15 pouches, 0.47g each
Nicotine Strengths:  4mg/portion and 8mg/portion

Review:  Of all three, this is the one I was the most curious about.  Minty cider, what could go wrong, right?  Well, they proved me wrong and it actually turned out to be decent.  In the aroma, I pick up a mild red apple smell along with a minty presence.  It has a subtle spiciness to it, like a subdued cinnamon.  In the lip, I encounter a light cooling sensation.  The flavor is pretty interesting.  It's a lightly sweet apple at first, along with a subtle hint of spice.  It has a minty presence, but isn't too overly minty.  It's pretty well balanced.

Rating and Final Thoughts

All in all, I was pretty impressed with these.  It seems as though Lucy did their homework, because these are some of the better nicotine pouches I've had compared to the range of products available on the US market.  The mango ones were my favorite, with 8mg at 3.46 and 4mg at 3.21.  The others weren't slouches, with the 8mg Cider at 3.13 and the 8mg Spearmint at 2.96.  The 4mg Cider and Spearmint were my least favorites, mainly due to their strength, at 2.88 and 2.71, respectively.  If you're a US nicotine pouch consumer, you may enjoy these!
