I recently heard about these new VID (ViD?) nicotine pouches made by Kurbitssnus.
Kurbits makes some of my favorite snus products, so when I heard about these I was pretty excited to try them out. I'm not the biggest user of nicotine pouches myself, but I'm always up to try something new. Especially when it's a product made by a snus company that I enjoy. Nic Pouch UK hooked us up with some, so a big thanks to them. The VID line has 5 flavors: Arctic Blast (Mint), Cool Citrus, Fresh Cola, Fruit Fusion, and Watermelon. So, there's something for everyone. Each can weighs 15.6 grams and has 20 portions, for 0.78g portions. The nicotine strength is 20mg/g (2.0%), or 15.6mg/portion.
One thing I like about Kurbitssnus is their product descriptions. They get a little wordy with them, which is pretty cool. It's not the usual "this product has a fruit taste". So, I'm going to share the whole thing. The translation is a little spotty, but here you go: "With VID Fruit Fusion we want to offer a pleasant and good taste but with the full power of a strong nicotine pouch. Fruity, fresh and with a clear print in the prill. We created VID Fruit Fusion for those customers who have longed for a nicotine pouch with full strength without it being the mint that takes over the flavors completely. If full strength with well-balanced flavors is the goal, this is the product we can recommend for those who are curious about something new and different".
This one is a rather interesting one. It's fruity, but not your everyday, run of the mill fruity product. The aroma is a darker fruit aroma with almost an earthy presence to it. In terms of what berry, it's almost a subtle cherry presence, along with a hint of raspberry and maybe a little cranberry. The pouches are slim, moderately moist, soft, and comfortable under the lip. They have a light cooling presence in the lip, as well. The flavor is pretty tasty! It's a dark, lightly sweet berry flavor. It has a little minty presence to it, but it's not overdone. In the flavor, the berry comes across as a mix of raspberry, some cherry, and a little cranberry. The nicotine strength on this one feels a little above regular, and the flavor lasts about 45 minutes, on average.
Rating and Final Thoughts
This one was pretty impressive. Not your usual, average, every day fruit product. It's a sweet berry, yes, but it has a dark, and almost earthy presence to it. I rated it at 3.42/5, which is a pretty high rating for me for a nicotine pouch product. But, that being said, it's a pretty solid product. Yes, it does have it's sweet notes. But, with a fruity product, you're going to have that. So, if you like nicotine pouches and want to try something new, check out the Vid line!
