Outlaw Dip: Wintergreen & Mint - Reviews. 11 Jul 2021.

About a year ago, I reviewed Outlaw Dip for the first time.  Outlaw Dip is a product made by my buddy and fellow YouTuber the Outlaw Dipper.  He's reviewed a few products of mine (link and link), so I wanted to review some of his to show support.  He started off like me, casually making videos, and here we are, both with our own products.  We also are both making tobacco-free products now, me with some nicotine pouches, and him with this line of tobacco-free dip.  As far as what's in the can, each one weighs in at 1.2 oz or 34.02 grams.  It's a tobacco-free product, and contains pharmaceutical grade nicotine.  I can't find the nicotine content anywhere, but I've seen it on their website saying it has "as much as regular dip".  It's a long cut product, so it's going to be similar to regular long cut dip.  You can lower lip it, but I throw it in the upper lip since I'm a snus guy.

Outlaw Dip: Mint

Flavor Description:  "Outlaw Mint is a breath of fresh air from other mint's out on the market. Not only do you get that freshness feeling with every pinch but you get that Outlaw sweetness on the end to make it the most enjoyable experience possible! We don't call our dip "Lip Candy" for no reason! We promise our Mint is like no other flavor you've tried. As soon as it hits your lips you get that minty fresh feel with a little bit of a burn and then it turns into something magical! Everytime you spit a little more minty sweetness comes out. We like to say it's a mix between mint and peppermint and that's right where we like it! We always felt Mint dips needed to be less boring... and we created just that."

The Review:  When you open the can, a present, fresh aroma of mint comes through.  It's lightly sweet in nature.  I pick up mostly the aroma of peppermint, along with subtle hints of menthol.  The material inside the can is similar to traditional long cut.  It's soft, moist, and packs well.  It comes with a light burn in the lip, along with a subtle cooling presence.  In the flavor, it's got a big mint taste.  The peppermint flavor is clear, and lightly sweet.  It almost has a tone of menthol in the background.  It is a very well balanced flavor.  The nicotine strength feels comparable to regular dip, or regular strength snus.  The flavor is pretty long lasting and stays packed well in the upper lip, lasting about 40-50 minutes, on average.

Flavor Description:  "Our Wintergreen flavor is truly unlike any other. This is our unique take on the ever popular "Wintergreen" that has been used in dip for years. Taste the woods as soon as it hits your lips! At first sniff you get a hint of darkness like a fire cured tobacco leaf and at first taste you get that wintergreen burn that everyone knows and loves. Then that's when you get hit with the sweetness! The longer you dip it the more notes of the backwoods you get. We strive ourselves on making our flavors as true to their name as possible. Outlaw Wintergreen is the truest Wintergreen taste on the market today. Taste the woods in every pinch."

The Review:  The aroma of this one is that classic, American wintergreen smell.  It's present, dark in nature, slightly smoky, and with a light sweetness to it.  The material inside the can is the same as the other one:  moist, easy to pack, and soft in the lip.  It comes with a light burn, as well.  The flavor is the straightforward wintergreen taste.  It's dark in nature, present, and lightly sweet on the finish.  It's not overly sweet, but has just the right amount.  The nicotine, again, feels comparable to regular dip, or regular strength snus.  The flavor lasts the same, about 40-50 minutes on average.

Rating and Final Thoughts

I was pretty impressed with both of these.  They have a nice can design, a steady flavor and nicotine release, and a long lasting taste.  The mint one was pretty impressive, better than a lot of the other American mint dips I've tried.  The wintergreen one was also pretty flavorful, and very well balanced.  I'm not a big wintergreen user, but I did find myself enjoying this one.  I rated Outlaw Mint at 4.25/5, and I rated Outlaw Wintergreen at 4/5.  I was impressed with both.  For not having tobacco, they really emulate the experience quite well.
