Skruf Superwhite: Nordic (Nicotine Pouches) S4 - Review. 3 June 2021.

Skruf has released another new nicotine pouch in their Superwhite line, and this one is a stronger version of one they have on the market already.   Last year, they launched Skruf Superwhite Nordic in a strength 2 (regular strength).  This one is a strength level 4, which would put it at the extra strong level.  This is a licorice flavored product, which isn't the most common flavor with nicotine pouches.  The flavor description for this one, quite simply, says it has a "taste of licorice".  Each can weighs 17.3g and has 24 pouches, for 0.72g portions.  The nicotine content is 18mg/g (1.8%), which breaks down to about 12.96mg/portion.

Licorice is an interesting taste.  When I first started snus, I wasn't the biggest fan of black licorice.  Gradually, I started to enjoy the flavor in snus, and now I eat black licorice constantly.  It's also a favorite of Mrs. Snubie, coincidentally!  When you open the can, a present, lightly sweet aroma of black licorice comes through.  The pouches are slim, moderately moist, and soft to the touch.  They're pretty comfortable under the lip, as well.  In terms of flavor, it has a pretty nice licorice taste.  The black licorice flavor is smooth in nature, with a light sweetness to it; it's pretty well balanced in presence.  The nicotine feels to be about the strong level, maybe just a little above.  In terms of flavor longevity, it usually lasts around 40-45 minutes.

Rating and Final Thoughts

I don't really use a lot of nicotine pouches, so anything between a 3 and a 4 is usually a good product for me.  This one is on the lower end, but mainly because it's stronger than I prefer.  The flavor is pretty good, though.  And the Skruf Superwhite line is a quality line.  If you're a nicotine pouch consumer, this is one of the better lines on the market.  And, if you like licorice, this is definitely one you'll want to check out.  They did a great job with the flavor.
