Fumi Nicotine Pouches (Icemint) - Review. 3 June 2021.

Fumi is, what else, a new line of nicotine pouches.  Yes, I know, that's most of everything new nowadays. Companies aren't really making snus products anymore, so 99% of what I review lately is nicotine pouches.  I don't really use them myself, but as a tobacco harm reduction activist/advocate, I'm glad they're out there.  They can certainly help save lives.  This line is one developed by The Snus Brothers.  I don't see any snus products they've made, so I'm not sure if they plan to eventually make snus or not.  When it comes to this one, the flavor description says, "A powerful taste of icy mint flavor".  Each can weighs 16 grams and has 20 pouches for 0.8g pouches.  The nicotine content is 16mg/g (1.6%), or 12.8mg/portion.

When I first tried this one, it reminded me of something.  Something that made this nicotine pouch stand out above all the other mint ones I've tried yet.  The aroma is a smooth, sweet aroma of spearmint.  Wait for it, I'll tell you what it reminds me of in a second.  The pouches are slim, soft to the touch, moderately moist, and comfortable under the lip.  There's also a nice cooling presence in the lip, as well.  In the flavor, it's a smooth taste of peppermint.  It's lightly sweet, and pretty refreshing.  Okay, are you ready for what it reminds me of?  It tastes like one of my favorite mint products of all time:  Thunder Cool Mint, which was sadly discontinued years ago.  In the strength, it feels about the strong level, maybe a little above.  The flavor longevity, on average, lasts about 40-45 minutes.

Rating and Final Thoughts

To preface my rating, I have to say this:  I'm not a big nicotine pouch consumer, I'm more of a snus guy.  However, I've found that when rating these products, anything between a 3 and a 4 is what I'd consider to be a "good" product.  I've only ever ranked one at a 4, so a 4 might as well be a 5, honestly.  This one rated at 3.42/5.  If the strength was lower, it would have been higher.  That being said, this is one of the best tasting nicotine pouch products on the market.  If you like this type of product and enjoy the mint flavor, this is a must try.  Like I said, it reminds me of one of my all time favorite products!
