Edelweiss (CBD Pouches) Mint - Review. 26 February 2021.

As the Sound of Music is one of my all time favorite musicals, the name of this product certainly brought some good feelings for me.  While the Sound of Music took place in Austria, this product is one out of Switzerland!  I went to their website to learn a little more about them, and this is what it says:  "All White, Swiss Made:  At the moment, market dominating manufacturers are found in Scandinavia. But far away from the public the first SWISS MADE snus has been developed: EDEL with its All White line EDELweiss.  With Swedish production knowhow and local partnerships in the field of nicotine and flavor technologoy, we have succeeded in creating a unique snus product in four nicotine and one CBD variant to satisfy different consumer needs – FEEL UNIQUE!"

Contents and Information

The flavor description for this one says "a mint blend".  Each can weighs 10g and has 24 portions, for 0.42g portions.  The nicotine strength says 120mg of CBD for the can, which would be about 8.57mg of CBD per pouch.  The bottom of the can also says 0.0% THC.

If you're not familiar with CBD, I'll do a quick explanation before we get into the review.  CBD, short for Cannabidiol, is a naturally occurring compound in the hemp plant.  According to Drugs.com, "CBD is effective at relieving anxiety, depression, pain, inflammation, and improving sleep".  No, CBD is not marijuana, and no, CBD will not "get you high" (I had these same worries when I first heard about it).  I've begun using it for headaches and back pains, personally.  Mrs. Snubie uses it for headaches, back pains, feminine pains, and sleep related issues.  CBD is great for all sorts of things!

Alright - kick back, relax, and let's talk about this new CBD pouch product!  When you open the can, the aroma that comes through is a menthol/herbal mix.  It's lightly sweet, and refreshing in nature.  The pouches are slim, soft to the touch, and comfortable under the lip!  There's also a nice, fresh cooling presence that comes on once you put one of the pouches under the lip.  In terms of flavor, it's a pretty refreshing mint/menthol flavor.  More on the menthol end, but with a little mintyness to it.  There's also a little herbal character mixed in, as well.  The flavor also seems to last about 40-45 minutes on average.  In terms of the CBD effect, I didn't notice much, honestly.  

Rating and Final Thoughts

I rated this one at 2.63 out of 5.  Not a bad product, but I didn't notice a whole lot of CBD effect from it.  The can design is nice, the pouches were comfortable, and it did have a fresh aroma and flavor to it.  It's been interesting watching these new products come from Edelweiss.  They recently launched nicotine pouches, and also have CBD Pouches.  It will be interesting to see what comes from this company in the future!
