Sirius Nicotine Pouches (Cold Classic & Ice Cold) - Reviews (Discontinued). 21 January 2021.

NOTE:  This product has been discontinued and is no longer for sale.

Today, we're reviewing two new nicotine pouches from AG Snus in Denmark:  Sirius Cold Classic Slim and Sirius Ice Cold Slim!  If these names sound familiar, it may be because they are.  I reviewed some AG Snus chew bags with similar names: Sirius Cold Classic (White Dry Chew Bags) and Sirius Ice Cold (White Dry Chew Bags).  While these may have a similar name and design scheme, they are different.  These are nicotine pouches, meaning these products are going to be completely free from tobacco.  In this review, I'll be talking about both of them so let's get right into it and get to know them a little better!

Sirius Cold Classic Slim

Product Description:  "A taste of sour bergamot and citrus".
Can Contents:  12 grams, 24 portions, 0.5g portions
Nicotine Content:  16mg/g (1.6%) / 8mg/portion

Review:
When you open the can, a tart, sour aroma of citrus greets you with a touch of mint.  When I first heard about this one and saw the name "Cold", I instantly thought it would be a mint flavor, but the citrus was definitely a nice surprise!  The portions are slim, moderately soft, and come with a cooling presence in the lip.  They feel lighter in weight, and have dryer contents inside the pouch.  The flavor of citrus is present, and reminds me of a mix of bergamot and grapefruit.  It's sour, and tart in nature.  There's a light mint character to it, but it doesn't really overpower too much.  The nicotine with this one feels to be around the regular strength level, and the flavor lasts about 40-45 minutes, on average!

Sirius Ice Cold Slim

Product Description:  "A taste of cooling menthol and fresh mint".
Can Contents:  12 grams, 24 portions, 0.5g portions
Nicotine Content:  16mg/g (1.6%) / 8mg/portion

Review:
This one is definitely a straight up, mint product.  When you open the can, a present, sharp aroma of mint greets you.  It's mostly peppermint, but comes with some mild menthol hints, as well.  The portions, like the last one, are slim, moderately soft, and lighter in weight.  They're comfortable under the lip, and come with a nice cooling presence, as well.  These also seem to have dryer contents inside the pouch.  The flavor is a pretty well balanced mint taste.  It's not super in your face and not overly sweet.  It's mostly peppermint, but with subtle menthol tones in the mix, as well.  The nicotine strength feels to be about the regular level, and the flavor lasts about 40-45 minutes, on average.

Rating and Final Thoughts

For this one, Cold Classic rated higher at 2.92 out of 5, and Ice Cold lower at 2.75 out of 5.  These are pretty decent products, I just think the portions could be a little more full and more moist.  But that's really my only major complaint I have with them.  Well, that and there's already a billion mint flavored nicotine pouches on the market already.  If you want to try one, I suggest going for the Cold Classic one, because it has a unique flavor to it.  Of the two, that was the better one!
