Nordic Spirit Mint Mini (Regular & Strong) - Review. 30 October 2020.

Nordic Snus has released some new mini nicotine pouches in their Nordic Spirit line, two variants of their smooth mint flavor, as well as an Elderflower one.  In this review, I'll be reviewing Smooth Mint (Regular Strength) and Smooth Mint (Strong).  They're basically the same thing, other than the nicotine strengths.  The flavor description for these two says, "A fresh taste experience with fresh menthol and sweet peppermint".  Both of these come in 7g cans with 20 portions for 0.35g portions.  The regular strength one has 9mg/g of nicotine (0.9%), which is 3mg/portion.  The strong one has 17mg/g (1.7%) of nicotine, which is 6mg/portion.

As I mentioned above, I'm going to review these two together.  There really isn't much of a difference between the two anyway, other than the nicotine strength.  Everything else is basically the same for the two products.  When you open the can, there is a mild, lightly sweet aroma of peppermint.  The portions are small in size and semi-dry.  Not too moist, but not too dry.  Being a mint, there's a light cooling presence that comes on in the lip, as well.  The flavor is a pretty gentle peppermint taste.  It's not too bold, comes through in a lightly sweet way, and seems to have a hint of menthol to it.  The flavor, on both, lasts about 35-45 minutes.  In terms of nicotine, the regular one feels pretty light, and the strong one feels a little less strong than a regular strength.

Rating and Final Thoughts

My rating is going to seem kind of low on this one, at 2.42 out of 5.  Mainly, it's because I don't really use mini portions.  The size is a little smaller than I prefer, and the strength is lower than I personally prefer.  In terms of product, I found the aroma and flavor to be a little weaker than I like, which brought those scores down as well.  That being said, there aren't a lot of mini products available in the nicotine pouch category.  So, if you're a nicotine pouch user who likes the mint flavor, you may enjoy this one.  While it may not be for me, those who like this sort of thing may enjoy it.
