Whitetail Smokeless: Wintergreen & Mint Pouches - Review. 6 July 2020.

I'm a snus guy, but I review other products that are alternatives to smoking. That includes nicotine pouches. I classify these as nicotine pouches because they come in a pouch, and they have nicotine. Well, they also make some without nicotine. Whitetail products contain natural mint leaf instead of tobacco. They also make long cut versions, but I'm going to be reviewing the portion versions.  In this review, I'll be covering the mint and wintergreen flavors - nicotine free, regular strength (9mg/g) and strong (18mg/g).  Also, Whitetail Smokeless is made in the good ol' US of A, in Jefferson, Wisconsin!

Whitetail Smokeless: Wintergreen

Flavor Description:  "A classic taste of wintergreen".
Can Contents:  18 portions per can
Nicotine Strengths Available:  Zero (0mg/g), Regular (9mg/g), Strong (18mg/g)

When you open the can, a present, sweet smell of wintergreen greets you. The portions are quite big, plump, and moist.  When you put one under the lip there's a solid burn to it, and then a gentle cooling presence, as well.  The wintergreen flavor is that classic, American wintergreen taste.    It's present, and lightly sweet.  The flavor lasts a good amount of time; usually I can keep these in for up to about 45-50 minutes on average.  In terms of nicotine, the 9mg/g one feels about regular strength, and the 18mg/g one feels about the strong level.  The zero nicotine one is more of an option for those looking to quit tobacco/nicotine, but still have that familiar experience of a pouch in the lip.

Whitetail Smokeless: Mint

Flavor Description:  "A fresh taste of mint".
Can Contents:  18 portions per can
Nicotine Strengths Available:  Zero (0mg/g), Regular (9mg/g), Strong (18mg/g)

When you open the can, a natural, lightly sweet smell of peppermint greets you.  There also seems to be a light herbal presence to it.  The portions are moist, quite plump, and fill out the lip really well.  They have a light burn when you put them in, and then a gentle cooling presence.  The mint flavor of this one is pretty present.  It's a lightly sweet taste of peppermint with a light herbal character in the background.  The flavor lasts quite a while, usually around 35-45 minutes.  As far as the nicotine strength goes, the 9mg/g one feels to be around the regular strength level, and the 18mg/g one feels to be around the strong level.  As far as the zero nicotine one goes, this is more of an alternative for those looking to quit tobacco and/or nicotine, but keep the sensation of a pouch in their lip.

Final Thoughts
As far as these products go, they're pretty solid.  The zero nicotine variants are a good option for people looking to quit tobacco/nicotine, as they provide a similar flavor and experience to regular pouched tobacco products.  The versions with nicotine are a good option for folks looking to quit tobacco, but still enjoy nicotine.  All in all, I enjoyed them!
