Lyft Storm (Ultra Strong) Nicotine Pouches - Review (Discontinued). 5 July 2020.

NOTE:  The Lyft brand has been rebranded as Velo.  As such, this product has been discontinued and is no longer for sale.

I was recently browsing a new website I stumbled across, CzechPods.cz, and found some products I wanted to do reviews of. Today, we're talking about a new Lyft product I've only seen sold there - Lyft Storm (Ultra Strong) Nicotine Pouches. This seems to be a nicotine pouch version of Epok Hurricane. It comes in large size pouches, not the slim size like most Lyft products.  The flavor description for this one says, "Intense flavor of peppermint in combination with cooling menthol for an even stronger experience".  Each can weighs 18g and has 18 portions, for plump 1g portions. The nicotine content on their website says 15mg/g portion, and with 1g portions that’s 15mg/g (1.5%).

Also, this one comes in the regular style Fiedler and Lundgren can, which means it has the FlexLid.  If you're not familiar with that, it's a catch lid that expands as you add more portions to it.  It's probably the greatest snus invention in the history of forever.

If you're not familiar with nicotine pouches, I'll explain. These are products that contain nicotine, but no tobacco. In the case of Lyft, these have eucalyptus and pine fiber in them instead of tobacco. These are a good alternative for people who may want to quit smoking, or tobacco in general, but not nicotine. This picture shows a look at what is inside the pouch itself. Here you see the cans, portions, and even what is inside the pouch, and can see that it looks similar to regular snus, except the portions and the material inside the portions are all white. Everything else about the experience is similar to regular snus.

When you open the can, the aroma is a sharp, fresh smell of peppermint. The portions are nice and plump; a full gram each! There's a slight burn when you put a portion in the lip, which gives way to a light cooling presence. The flavor is predominantly mint and comes through as a focused peppermint flavor. It's not overly sweet, but has a light touch of sweetness to it. The nicotine kick on this one feels to be firmly at the extra strong level, so it's got a solid kick to it.  The flavor lasts a pretty good amount of time; usually around 45-50 minutes on average.  So, if you like Lyft and want something stronger, you'll probably enjoy this one.  I'm not sure when it's going to hit stores outside of the Czech Republic, but keep your eye open, I'm sure it will eventually.

NOTE:  While this one is no longer made, SnusExpress.com carries a wide array of Lyft products.  You can find them all here - https://www.snusexpress.com/us/en/brands/lyft.
